If someone has logging capabilities maybe they could do a before and after and see what changes.

It won't add more heat it's boost you are already making it's just not bleeding out anymore.
As for a re tune it's not required Janetty has already shown we can run a 5% overdrive on the stock tune.....which is already rich. There is no extra air entering the intake so the maf has nothing to do with it. Just remember this prevents you from bleeding boost.....pretty simple. |

What percentage of overdrive would doing this result in. I think the guys with factory tunes and concerned about warranty implications would be interested.

The gain might be slightly higher if you are spinning it faster. Again you are just stopping the bleeding of boost that the blower has already made. |

Factory tune runs rich, 1 to 1.5psi isn't going to lean it out....as already said Janetty has proven you can bolt on a 5% over drive and dont need a re-tune this is no where near 5% so it's very safe. I logged my boost pressure through my EDI |

Did Ted say if there could be any negative effects? Is this just a conservative adjustment from the factory?

This is a fix/reference that has been around for a good deal of time. Most shops and tuners know this and make sure it is set properly during the tune. What you want is for there to be a minimal gap between the set screw and the stop. This prevents any wasted boost. The factory adjustment is to have a 2 - 2.5mm preload on the stop screw to prevent the blade from getting stuck in extremely cold situations. This isn't typically a problem in the southern climates but I can't speak for the guys up north.
