Well yes it could get you into trouble, it happened to Afro-duck in NYC.

First clue of could be a problem is at :31 of the video, you can see your plate number and what state. Excellent HD quality, because it was super easy to read.

Might want to go edit that part with a swirreley or shorten the frame

At the very least it would suck to get arrested. Not the best idea.

While very true, this can only happen when the lights are on. And if I am not mistaken, the brake lights are only on when the lights are on at night and when you brake during the day.

LEDs are strobed faster than the eye can primarily for load control on the LED drivers. Alot higher current draw and voltage dropped if they are just switched on. And most cameras noway days will show it unless the frame rate is lowered.

Alright, I'm an older guy, and sometimes I get a little conservative in my thoughts and actions but... THAT VIDEO WAS AWESOME!!! Yes, I would blur out my plate because some "weenie" might report you out of envy. I tell my wife that a man's smile is directly linked to the accelerator. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. I run my 1LE too :-)

Wonder why I think this?

I thought the same thing, great video but...a few violations. Hmmm, why do we notice these things?

Gentlemen, let's not be naive here. It is an entertaining video (I had fun watching it), but it is filled with all kinds of illegal-ness. GM's lawyers would take one look at that video and take one of three actions:
  • Pretend they never saw it.
  • File an injunction to have the video taken down (on the premise that some viewers might believe the video was created-by or sanctioned by General Motors)
  • Be a proactively responsible corporation and report the video to the proper authorities. This would be very bad for the OP.

When manufacturers do "exciting" car videos, they shut down every road they'll be traveling on, remove the possibility of hurting anyone by clearing the sidewalks, and insert professional stunt drivers.

This video's acts were shot on public roads, and grossly illegal speeds in some cases, and did put other's lives at risk. This video is a PR nightmare for any company and if I were a betting man, I would bet that GM would take the second action above, and possibly the third as well.

I don't think its sad at all. Reckless public behavior like this is stupid, truly idiotic. As you get older, and more importantly, as you have your first child, you grow-up in this regard, rather quickly. In my early twenties, I hit an indicated 176mph according to the speedometer of my CBR929. I was a moron. A tool. A total idiot and if I'd hurt anyone in my actions, I deserved prison for the needless reckless endangerment of others. Today, you'll rarely find me topping 90mph unless all of the right pieces fall into place, and those pieces are all about safety of others (and to a lesser extent, myself).

This weekend, an 18 year-old girl was killed in my area as a result of street racing between a green Mustang and an unidentified vehicle. I can't imagine the horror those parents are going through. I'm sure the idiot drivers of those vehicles didn't think they were going to hurt anyone either, but shyt happens.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here. The OP put together a very entertaining video and his video editing skills are clearly the best I've seen on C5 (though in all fairness, that's not saying much ). But I encourage everyone to be responsible in your hooliganism, and restrict your activities to being a danger only to yourself.
