Replace the crank pulley with a high quality one like innovators west or ATI. Stock pulleys are kind of junk on all GM cars.

Belt slip sucks. Make sure the tensioner is set properly and belt is fresh. I don't keep a belt on more than 6k miles or so. They are $35 or so on amazon, so it is basically something I do every oil change or two. Even the green belts stretch a lot.

This is a new belt. Furthermore, I am referring to the pulley that comes with the ECS kit (the big silver one that you pin into the stock crank motor pulley). You are saying i should replace that piece?

I change the lube in mine every 5k miles with 4oz bottle. Never look at it again until changing it after the next 5k miles.

Quick update. Got the new pulley from Chris, installed and flawless execution now. Big sigh of relief that it wasn't worse. Big props to ECS for the great service and speedy warranty shipping!
