Have you even looked at the Commercial Vendor Classifieds "Autos for Sale" forum we have right here on our boards???

Would be simple if I could find a dealer selling an SS for sticker and I could buy it and be done with it but these dealers are crooks. I do believe you have an option to buy the car from Avis on that program, have to check it out.
Dude...I'm not trying to be a prick, but did you even read the posts in your thread? I'm trying to help you. I posted the Vendors for sale section on the previous page which you did not comment on...have you even looked in there? I browse it occasionally and see TONS of cars in there that DEALERS are selling for MSRP.

So, if you refuse to pay over MSRP, but have "more than enough money," go to that thread and look around. It's pretty simple. When you are done checking, let us know what you found.

Just fly into MN and drive one home. There are plenty around here for MSRP.
and don't give that 304hp is plenty crap when you are obviously want a performance car, if you want street performance you need torque, since you said you don't race(well real racing like at the track) that is the place you will see the HP come into play because you will be screaming through the high rpms and thats where the HP is

Thanks Tag, will check it out now. As to why I bought the V6. I figured 304 HP would be plenty, thats more than any car I have owned except the 300C. Especially here where most the speed limits are 40-50 MPH and the freeways are too crowded to go over 60 most the time. I am not looking for some 10 second car, just something to have a little fun with. I didnt factor in the weight and as other V6 buyers have said, it doesnt FEEL like 304 HP. its just not that fun to drive. So yea its pretty much my fault for expecting more out of the base model, live and learn.

Ok. Thanks for addressing that. Just spend the bucks and fly into a place that has cars for MSRP and drive her home. Just post what you want, I am positive someone has one.

I think it depends on how you want to compare it to your vette. I had an 04 and I wouldn't give my SS up for another vette if I had to. Loved the vette, hatted the rattles and getting in and out of it. LOVE the Camaro, no rattles and easy as hell to get into and out of.

Again, its just a matter of what you want to compare.

OP
I think you would be doing yourself a big favor by renting a SS and try it out for a day or even a week to see how you like it. Still eludes me though why you bought a V6 when you said you have owned several muscle cars and money was/is not an issue.
$40k is a big chunk of dough to spend on a car that you could end up not being happy with again. I think you got lucky you only lost $3k on the V6 so basically, all you lost was the tax and fees. You pretty much sold it for what you paid for it. Can't beat that. Please post pics of your rental SS or the SS you buy soon.

I think chevy duped some people into thinking that the V6 is a beast, when in reality its a fast coupe.

I wouldn't buy a 6 banger (I still have nightmares of my V6 mustang I got when I was 15..beggers can't be choosers though)....

I would buy a 6 banger...if it were turbo'd...like the GTR which would lead me to the reasoning that I would invest the 3k-5k loss into turboing the V6 camaro...would have to wait to see what those fellow Texas boys are able to bring to the table.

TAG, yer wasting your time on this guy, read his past history. He's a troll and anybody that knows anything about cars and that has money would have made sure that at least if they knew they were buying a Camaro, they would get the fastest model they could possibly get. It's like being a millionaire and then going out and buying a smartcar because you want to save on gas money. If you are an environmentalist, sure, why not, but to save money, please. Not only is this guy not convincing but he is clearly a compulsive liar. I'm sorry if I'm pissing you off TAG/Tran, but his message history speaks for itself. :troll:

You honestly think Tony Romo would have bought the V6? Proves my point why the OP is taking us all for a ride down "Liar's Lane."

but it's fun messing with him i've already caught him slipping a couple times

i or you should never buy a car without a test drive, take your money some where else if they don't do it(no crap the dealer isn't gonna let somebody in a sold car) ........... then he says he wished he would of test drove the V6 before he bought it(like he said he would never do)
