I can when talking about adding an $8+ twin turbo kit Vs upgrading to a v8. The 1le package is debatable if you're going to upgrade the suspension later don't bother with the 1le pack because you can find better parts aftermarket anyhow. If suspension isn't your concern the 1le is a good choice for a bump in handling for the cost. My argument isn't if you only have 8k what's the best option. It's if you want more and more down the road (which most of us do) the v8 is the best pick. I for one am not happy with a 12 second car. I want faster. That's why I chose the v8 platform. If OP has the funds available to buy a v8 new or used then that's my suggestion.

My only worries was going to see if people who has owned a V6 and then transitioned to getting a V8 if it was worth the trade.
I'm sure most of the people who have will tell you it's worth it.

Also, don't forget that the V8 will be worth quite a bit more when it comes time to sell. You get a lot of that original cost refunded, come trade in time. You get will pretty much get no returns on mods.

Pleasarino don't advocate a V6 when you got a Z06 unless you want to put your money where your mouth is and swap engines with a V6 camaro. No? Aha...

Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll continue to walk the walk and not talk the talk. Next modding project is another V6, my truck. When will you be modding your 1LE versus talking about how easy it is to mod?

That's the key. If you mod your V6 and still can't get over the desire for the SS/1LE, then you will be further under on the trade. However, if you trade for the SS/1LE and later decide you rather have a TTV6 you will get a good chuck of your money back on the unmodded SS.

I just transitioned from a 2014 2LT to a 2015 2SS and feel like I did the right thing. I should have gotten the 2SS in the first place.

I hadn't done any mods to my 2LT. Mostly because I felt I would be moving up at some point.

Now I am where I want to be and will do a couple little things to it, but not much as I am pretty happy with the performance.... for now... I am sure that will change.

I was actually was going to see if I get the 2017 SS 50th Anniversary Edition for my 30th birthday. But the way it looks I really don't want to bother with it.
and since I got a V6 to keep but if there was a chance to get a V8 why not upgrade. I wanted to see if it was worth it. Twin Turbo on a V6 sounds amazing. I've seen videos and I follow some posts but with any FI there is a risk to blow the engine. However getting forged internals and better cams and among other thing are somehow easier to find for a V8. and it is a 1LE who wouldn't want that.
