This may be the most rediculous post ever. I hate to tell this guy that there is going to most likely be a line a mile long at every Chevy dealer when people can start ordering these cars. Even the fact that the Mustang is doomed is rediculous. But, I could see the Challenger leaving the scene real quick, unless they drop the V8's and start turbocharging their V6's. Which I doubt Dodge will do, I think it has always been the plan to run the Challenger for four to six years and dump it. Trust me if Ford and Chevy want these cars to survive they will find a way. Chevy has already been rumored to be testing Hybrid Technology for the Camaro, and Ford could do the same with the Mustang, but they seem to think they have it figured out with their V6 Ecoboost engines.

The fact is GM has spent too much time and money on bringing us the best Camaro to ever hit the streets. And they know most people are dying to have this car, and the long wait will only make it easier to sell them when they do hit the streets. The demand wil be high on these cars. And if everything they say is true about the Camaro's V6 lineup, we won't have to worry about the sales of the Camaros, it won't be killed off again. As for the V8's for the future, I'm sure Chevy will figure out a way to keep the car going. No way would they spend this much time and money if they knew this car would have to be killed off again.

Also, if GM does use the LS3 for the Camaro, which I think it will. It will get reasonable gas mileage. My '05 Vette with the LS2 gets 25-27 mpg on the highway. My father has an '08 convertible Vette with the LS3 and is getting 27-28 mpg highway. And in the city I have managed to get anywhere from 19-21 mpg. So, the Camaro should be fine!

Eh; it's a bunch of BS. GM's not going to get rid of Camaro, at least not this generation. Sounds like a hater to me, more than anything.

Well ladies and gents, you can thank our wonderful government for not allowing us to drill and take our own natural resources. You can aslo thank them for the wonder CAFE standards and if I recall the last time that was done, resulted in the wonderful Chrysler K-Car. I personally think the oil companies should launch a massive ad campaign that points out how over 60% of on-shore potential reserves cannot be drilled because of federal regulations. Maybe when people get tired of paying 4.00 per gallon for gasoline, they will demand Congress to do their darn jobs and open up the resources that are naturally ours. Our economic strength is being held hostage by environmentalist. No other country in the world hamstrings itself like we do. I personally think it is time to fire just about everyone in Washington. And I don't care to hear arguments about it taking 10 years to realize any benefit if we start drilling, because that was the excuse they gave us 10 years ago.

Errmm... LOL?!

Guess what, Chevy 's NEW Camaro will be the FIRST to be exported to Greece, and I 'm GETTING it. And it will be with the biggest $#%^ engine GM will put on it. Too bad for him that the new Camaro is loved by the OLD Camaro-fanatics and at the same time gets a crowd of NEW Camaro-fanatics.

And the guy who wrote that arti... sorry, that sheet of shit, can go drive around in a 2-seated-45-HP-electric-sorry-excuse-for-a-car car. See how funny that is.

One thing that that guy has ignored is that absolute fuel economy doesn't matter much for the Camaro. Its the relative economy that is important. Its the same way in every segment, for all the various things that people buy cars for. You don't cross shop a silverado with a prius, you compare it to a tundra. So, if its relative economy that is being looked at, the Camaro should be quite sucessful since it should have the best in class fuel economy, to go along with its performance. The SRT8 gets nasty mileage, the base V8 Camaro could possibly out perform it, while getting the mileage of a V6 mustang. THAT is what will make the Camaro a sucess and will prevent it from being doomed.

I'm confident our wiz kids will resolve the issues just fine. What was the average fuel mileage 40 years ago? 12mpg? The bar has been set high, but you just watch. Sure we'll have electrics, hybrids, your 8th gen may have a fission reactor drive (it could happen But thru all the hardships we have faster better handling safer cars than ever before. Thank you wiz kids. And thank you soldiers for protecting our freedoms to tell our congressmen..."YOU SUCK!"

it really does not matter the prices are going up now because they will plumit later. the oil company is tring to get as much money out of us now, so when it comes time to lower prices they will have a nest egg. it is just like the housing market but with smarter ceos. the company holds back on production, to stock pile their supply. eventually the prices will start to effect the government and they will step in like they did with microsoft. prices will go down or the economy will suffer.
