Every old car on the lot is taking space where a new model could be. A lot full of 2015s might as well be a used car lot; who would pay regular price for a 2015 if the dealer down the road has 2016s for the same price? Not to mention, the trade-in value on a 2015 would be one year older than a '16 , so that's a loss before you even leave the lot. Besides, don't dealers have to pay a lot fee to the manufacturer each month that a car sits on the lot? Top that with this being a new design (Camaro 6) and they're dying to clear the lot of 15s.

Is there a way to easily search a larger area then what chevrolet.com is restricted to on searches? I'm pretty interested in jumping up to a 2SS but I dont like the cars that are around here in the limited search area.

I had that same problem - finally eMail'd 4 Dealers and told them what I was looking for. No deal yet, but...

Traded the Bee today for hard money (fully demodded!) 1k more than I paid. It worked well - no sales tax in Oregon, so that's a real helper.
I manage a Chev dealer and have for over 20 years so here's what I know for what it's worth - There's very few rebates you can stack with the Black Friday 20 percent off. GM Card, Private Offer and Customer Satisfaction certs from GM are about it. IF a dealer figures the rebate(s) in, they won't get it, and GM doesn't really care - dealers can make mistakes all they want, or real deal lose as much as they want, the car gets sold. Sometimes managers 'fudge' and do the rebate, and it gets 'covered up', as a mistake etc. A big volume dealer can swallow that, a small one, it's tough. The dealer has some 'fluff' room after invoice - holdback, and finance allowance which usually gets eaten up by flooring/interest, unless it's fresh off a truck. Dealers don't want to winter these things, and flooring adds up, owners get grumpy.
I drove 200 miles to the dealer I bought mine from - they made a little, hopefully they make a profit on the trade - really nice people and they deserve to - the 20 percent made a super sweet deal for me, and I didn't have to beat them up, much! Ran a locate and in a 500 mile radius from me there were only 4 1LE's left, one 1SS, three 2SS - now only 2. :-)
I lost you somewhere - You said you manage a Chevy Dealer, but bought a Camaro from someplace 200 Miles away.

Yeah I'm struggling the only thing I found was a silver one which is not my favorite color. It's tough I fully intended to keep my camaro for a couple more years to pick up a 50th anniversary Camaro since I can't afford one new but with that 20% off now, it puts a 2SS in my sights easily now.

Keep V6 2LT camaro for a couple more years or buy a 2SS for a couple years, decisions decisions!

Looks like we're in the same boat. I'm also in Florida and have a couple of dealers looking for what I want: a 2SS vert in either Blue Ray, yellow, Red Rock, or red. So far they've only found three 2SS verts in Florida, and none in colors I'd want. Even if I compromised and took one of those, I still don't know if they'd qualify for the 20% off promo. There are TONS of 1LTs out there, but that's what I'm driving now. I guess I'll try again next year, or hope that someone trades in something I like with low miles.
