the dealers some not all still want 3grand over and some are used, anyway good luck with selling and your move. And not to be nosy or negative but why Cali.that state is in a mess of trouble?Edit:I'm sorry I put Cali.when you stated west coast forgot the other 2 that make up the west coast.

This is what dealers go thru on a daily basis.

Advertise a car at what you think it's worth. Get ready for the low ball, tire kickers.

It ain't easy.

The worst place to sell a car is where all the "experts" are (like a car forum). Sell it at AutoTrader and maybe you find a sucker who doesn't know any better.

Bottom line is your car is probably worth around $31000 wholesale.

Did you only list it for sale here on Camaro5? Remember that most of the people here already have Camaro's or they are ordering new to their own personal liking to start with. Over on the 4th gen LS1Tech forums whenever someone lists their car for sale people low ball the seller like anything or otherwise show no interest at all since the car would only be their second play car. It doesn't matter how nice the car is or how unique it is becuase people only want it as a second play car.

If you are serious about selling your car see if you can find a spot along a busy highway where you'd be able to park it at least during the day. List it in your local autos for sale mag or in the newspaper, then you have the internet options too as well. The car just has to be out there for people to see it for sale. Maybe you've already done these things but just trying to give you ideas in case you haven't.

If you are only listing it for sale on Camaro5 you likely will not get any response. I'd wager to say that most people on this board are already 5th gen owners not prospective buyers.
also, as was said before you are looking at a limited market considering it's yellow. You should post it up[ on Cars.com and Craigslist and then see what kind of response you get.

Tim, it's the area and the color that is hurting the resale.

If it was say, RJT or ABM it would stand a better chance.
If there weren't 5 local dealerships with like 20 SS's in total right here it would stand a better chance.
If you lived in NYC this car would be gone right now.

I've taken two Camaro's in trade at the dealership, and I can assure you the market is still strong. Both have been LT's. The 1LT the recieved about $1000 under sticker price for it and the 2LT which was traded in 3 days ago, they were only looking at about a 3k loss and that was because someone had keyed car, and they had to repaint a quarter panel. On the auctions for the region a 2ss/rs is still selling for 38K to dealers. So the market for resale is still fine, it is shifting, because Camaro's are becoming more readily available.

Think about it though, if you buy any other car for $40k and try to trade it in 6 months later you are looking at a loss of atleast 6-8k.

You owe 12K and you have the title? Lean holders do not release the title until the lean is payed off. Otherwise, if you have the title, why the hell would you pay the lean company? They couldn't take the car from you, because it's titled in your name.

the title has a lein printed on it, so the lein would have to be released before I could legally transfer it but I do physically have the title for the car so dont cry BS because you dont understand how things work at the DMV in NY

Having a restricted title, does not count as having a title.
