I had Jet Hot (designed and coated [one of the best coatings available]) long tubes on my 95, and after a year or two, the coating came off of them too. It was under warranty, so not a big deal, but those were a b!^@# to install.

These Doug Thorleys are easy, took me less than 2 hours. Plus, it looks like these also have a lifetime warranty:

Has anyone done any true before and after dyno runs with the Doug Thorley's, or is factory quoted 18 rwhp 35 rwtq all we have to go by?

Has anyone had the bolt come loose on there shortys ? do you have to check them once a month , I know they would come loose on L/T but this is my first set of shortys .

I havent checked mine, been on for about 3 weeks. I put locktight on all the manifold to head bolts

Anything NONGM would void the warrenty, yes,kinda. If damage is done to the motor that is caused from the non-GM part, the warrenty is garabge. If it is not linked, then its fine.

Checked mine today and after putting 550 miles on the car and they were all tight. I guess I will check them every time I change my oil.
