Nope! not joking....just my opinion......don't worry GM isn't going to listen to me. I would just like to see the Camaro remain pure muscle without making a bunch of sub models out of it. In fact, I would have been happy to see only V8 models. Now is this realistic..no but again just my opinion.

GM is making sure the Camaro stays fresh for some time. This is how you maintain sales levels, which therefore translates into more profit. If sales of the Camaro begin tapering off to the point that it's no longer feasible to keep producing, it'll be a repeat of 2002 all over again.

Only V8 models is not realistic whatsoever due to CAFE regulations.

It's also not feasible due to other factors such as people willing to shell out $36k. You've only got to look at half the mustangs running around your town...they are V-6 cars because that is what people could afford. Many V-6 buyers right now bought for other reasons I'm sure, but you've got to look to the "after-party" when the newness wears off.

Every one of you ought to want to see a million Camaros out there as it means the car will survive and also your replacement parts will be much cheaper! If this edition even sells 100 more cars...it is a good thing!

Take a look at the 4LT Corvette convertible with a leather-wrapped interior...it classes up the interior and adds some new design cues that will appeal to a buyer looking for something a "little more upscale and professional-looking" than the standard interior. This is one area that GM constantly gets hammered on..."cheap-feeling" interiors. You may not have a problem with them, neither do I, but the non-GM people do. If this edition can help show the rest of the world that GM CAN do great interiors, it will help!

Gary...GM and the Chevy brand can do great interiors...just look at a LTZ Silverado.

Thank you for clarifying. I won't own a camaro for atleast 2 more years and I want it in IBM or Black. Was just worried that IBM or any other blue wouldn't be a option haha. And old people brought you the current camaro. haha.

I went to the GoodGuys show today in Chicago. I talked to quite a few Manufactures and tuners while I was there and everyone to a man said they are worried about the declining customer Market and their average customer age, 50-80 years old. Where are the young "car guys"? I loaded a 2LT/RS so I could do a different approach to High Performance. I asked the vendors today if they were working on V6 stuff. To a person they had no idea if they ever were. K&N doesn't even have a CAI yet for my car.
I know there are guys that will never look at a v6 as a muscle car but this where GM, The aftermarket and even the custom tuners are missing the boat.

A base LT1 is a low $20K car. Add $5 to$10Kin aftermarket goodies and you will have a low $30K, 400+ hp killer street car. This appeals to the 18 to 35 year old group that will buy a foriegn car and then throw that 5 to 10K into it. I know there are 18 to 35 Camaro5 members that can afford a $40K+ SS but the goal is to draw the other buyer segments. Chevy can't even get it done as their aftermarket V6 HP stuff isn't available.

GM, Ford, and Chrysler have V6 pony cars and you can count on one hand who is doing anything major in the HP arena.
Understand, I love a good Big Block like the rest of you [454/425hp in my 63 sb pu] but this an opportunity to bring the young guys into the fold.

An Executive level car is a good thing but if any GM Execs read this, do something to grab the young, future GM Customers that will purchase Vettes and Caddys in 2025.
My 6 and 10 year old Grandsons loves the cruise nights and shows. And they love my new Gen5 but Zac the 10 year old wants a 69 like my first Camaro. We'll build him one and get him started in the right direction. Maybe we'll put a "Volt" drivetrain in it!

Just a Thought!

Maybe its just me, but attempting to make a european styled Camaro is like trying to stuff a small block V8 in a BMW M3 and slapping a dixie flag on it. Camaros are unadultered American iron and IMO shouldn't be trying to be something there not. Besides, isn't the executive version of the Camaro the Corvette? Just my 2 cents.
