quick question I'm running a over the radiator cold air intake on my holden ve sv6 with the LFX engine over here in australia
the intake is off a v8 but mace engineering has made a adaptor so it fits our v6's and its the best intake for our cars in australia only problem is its a tight fit to get the intake to sit inside the small space left over after the adaptor, if i buy one of these 80mm tb's and need that spacer thing that you supply? is there any chance of getting one of them as thin as possible? cheers this was the same intake on my old car with the LLT

I have Jason working on a ported intake manifold to match up with the overkill 80mm throttle body. Jason will be shipping me the throttle body and the manifold as one piece once he is done.

The adapter plate is 3/8" thick and conceals the socket head cap screws, plus provides enough thread for the throttle body to plate bolts. Wouldn't feel comfortable making it any thinner

Not trying to let the cat out of the bag... but is this not a l96 corvette tb? And isn't It closer to 87mm? You would think this would run too lean?

No its not ^^

MAF will see the improved airflow and compensate but there's benefits to having it tuned by someone who knows what they're doing with the LFX. I can remap the torque models with this throttle body versus how I remap them versus the stock throttle body, to gain more throttle response and mid throttle torque.

There are several different TB's used on LFX engines and different manifolds. In all likelihood it's from another LFX application.

I snagged a 2014 corvette tb off eBay with a similar 6 pin connector.. gonna maybe get a custom intake manifold made up to use... either way this is a great step forward

I received the first Overkill 80mm tb kit here yesterday. I've gone ahead and made myself a steel template for modifying the intake opening... I plan on trying a couple different iterations of modifying the inlet to see which flows the best. In theory, the final product should be shipping to djcopoli late next week.

Very awesome to see this. Will has been a great member of the w-body and 3800 community, the guy has helped me a ton in the past.

Glad to see you are jumping into more stuff, I might contact you shortly about helping me out with an LFX tune.
