Yeah I am 6'2" broad shoulders, One of the things I liked about the 5th gen was how spacious it felt compared to my 4th gen. Two people can actually use the armrest. Anyone who drove a stick in a 4th gen knows how annoying it was driving with a center console hog for a passenger.

When I first saw a 5th Gen, I thought to myself, that is a great looking car. A couple of years passed and I was playing online building me a Camaro SS with black wheels. That was the first time that I saw the 1LE. A little more research and the bug hit me hard. Ended up selling my '69 Z/28 that I had for 17 years, to order my 1LE. This is the best car that I have ever owned and plan on keeping this car for a very long time.
The 6th Gen. looks ok and I hope they sell a lot of them. Looking forward to the future threads on I4 vrs V6 vrs V8.

I remember when GM and Ford were testing the GT350 & SS 6gen at the Nurburgring and I saw the videos for the first time . First video I saw was the GT350 and the first thing that pop into my head was that a bad a$$ looking car . Then I saw the SS 6 gen video and the first thing that pop into my head was WTF really that the best you can do GM . From that point on I have not like the looks of the 6 Gen Camaro sorry to say.

Love my car, there's nothing about the 16's that make me regret my purchase, despite them being quicker, and that the next Z28 or whatever they come out with will be a beast.
If I do move out of this car, it would be into a Corvette most likely rather than another Camaro. |

What I don't like about the 6th gen:
1) much smaller on the inside. i am 6'4" and all leg, and its a tight fit, like a stingray. 2) much smaller trunk space thats it. if I was able to drive it I might have more that I dont like, but I'm sure its still a fun car. What I do like: 1) door handles are in a logical place 2) leather is much more comfortable than my 5th gen leather 3) interior looks good, seems very functional 4) exterior looks are subject to everyone's opinion, but it is growing on me, including the 'hood nostrils' and the front fascia. the back looks like a baby stingray which is OK to me 5) head room is good 6) shifter location / cupholder location good (lol?) wish I could've driven it, since thats what really matters. I am going to keep my 2015 1LE, but I may be very interested in a 2016 1LE or Z28 offering.

Iv seen the 6th gen in person, never sat it.... wasn't able to.
I really did like the new 6th gen. Only things I don't like, that stupid SS on the rear bumper cover, the radio, and all this new technology. Call me old fashion, but rev matching, electric e brake ect. Just keep it simple.

To each his own honestly. I not a big fan of how Ford shifted the Mustang towards a more European design and I feel that we have witnessed the same with the Camaro. I was able to spend some time with one at a recent Motor Trend show and surprisingly I'm not a fan of the temp control/vent combo and the center armrest (the small section really bugs me).
Interesting...

The interior is out of this world.
Direct injection engine is a step above and weight ratios are unbelievable. Exterior feels a bit.... hmm... feminized... simply not as aggressive as the 5th gen - especially the 14's and 15's with the larger front scoop. I feel the Stingray-like rear lights don't quite match up with the side lines and the front. I've shown a bunch of photos to friends and not one person (guys or gals) thought the 6th gen had a significantly better looking exterior. When you throw the 1LE... well... don't get me wrong.. 6th gen is still awesome. Superior in many ways, I just feel like they exterior tries to go in so many different directions. I'm still shaking my head at the Gen6 WTH is this thing suppose to be. I bet once the poll is up and running that the majority of those "liking" the 16 will not be of the baby boomer segment. It strikes me that those of us 50 plus will for the most part maintain strong ties to the Gen5 in part because of GM's success at executing the retro styling resemblance to the 69 bang on. And seriously what is it with those two plain vanilla dials/info screen as gauges set in a ridiculously tall dash pod. The dash layout is hideous at best regardless of fit, finish or materials.

I agree. The gen 5 blended modern driveline technology in a beutiful retro muscle look very reminiscent of the classic 69 heavy metal all business styling.
"Success at executing" may be quite an understatement from my perspective. It may be quite awhile before chevy could capture such a following again with such devotion to a single model production. |

I got to sit in one the other day while I was at the dealer. This one was really nice but I like my 2015 2SS Commemorative better. One issue I have with the 2016 is I am only 5' 10" and it literally felt like I was sitting in the back seat. Not enough room in the interior. Looked in the back and no way could somebody sit behind me.
The rear end I just do not like at all. The SS badges I don't like them where they are located. The side marker lights nope does not do it for me. The Camaro badges on side are way too small compared to mine. Lots of things I do not like about the 2016. The interior I liked the ambient lighting. I thought it was sweet how you can change the color. Also liked how bright they were a long with the cup holder lights. Noticed it's almost the same steering wheel that is on my car except mine looks better with the stitching and badges. The climate control is pretty sweet but hate the Mylink the way it looks. Engine bay looks alright but prefer mine. I actually think my interior looks better minus the ambient lighting, The list price on this 2016 2SS was $48000. I would rather have my car because it's got everything that I wanted and I cannot think of anything that I do not like about the 2015 2SS Red Hot Commemorative edition besides everyone is always staring at me
