Bought mine on my 2nd deployment, paid it off half way through my 3rd deployment that I am currently finishing up this month. Feels great.

My title when home with me the day I bought it.. That's "why the heck I would want to pay cash" for it..its mine not some 3rd world owned banks ..just waiting to find a reason to come get it b/c your finance's farted..or you lost your job.or one of to many things that could and will happen..life happens..and when it does I have no one looking for me and my stuff...everything I have I own.only way I go

Pluto, glad to hear you're close!! We paid cash in 2011 - but in the long run, ended up taking a loan on the house we downsized to.

Now I hear new loaded SS verts are going for $55k+? Wouldn't have bought ours if that were the case back in 2011. Got ours for $41k.
