Did you own a camaro before this one? What's your history?

Camaro never turned my head until the Gen 5 came along. Everything about the Gen 5 calls out to my soul!

I've got a colorful history in regards to cars, I didn't come from a car-guy family or anything of the sort, but I did grow up in a GM family as I have uncles and my grandfather had all worked for the company in one way or another. I lack pictures of most of my early cars and to be honest, I doubt they would be very picture worthy anyways
First car was a 1995 Chevrolet Cavailer, a blue and basic 4 door, lets be honest, when you're 16 a car is a car.
From there I went on a binge of Impala's, two early 2000's 9C1 police package cars and eventually ended up with a 2008 Impala SS (That FWD LS4 bastard child idea)
The Impala SS was when I started having 2 vehicles's at a time, I picked up a 1994 GMC Sierra 1500, solid but rusty truck.
The 2008 Impala SS was shortly replaced with a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8


The truck eventually went way-side because of $4/gallon gas when it first struck, I had a beater 1995 Regal GS Coupe for awhile, then a *cringe* 2000 Honda Civic for awhile, then a 1998 Infiniti Q45.

I replaced my 2006 SRT8 with a 2012 Charger SRT8 Superbee seen below:


Life then decided to throw me a curveball, I had a child on the way and more because of my financial position in life, I opted for a cheaper vehicle and traded off into a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu LTZ, within a year I got rid of that turd menace of a car and went into a 2013 Buick Enclave AWD instead, at this point the fiance' took over the Buick.

I picked up a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am Coupe to get by after my Infiniti had took a crap. We found a spectacular 1982 AMC Spirit for a fair price to pick up as a 'weekend car' as the woman knew what it generally meant to me having a nice car around.


I got rid of the Grand am for a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis, which got me through this past winter and just recently traded it in for my first Camaro a 2010 1SS



I've had it for a few weeks now, fully intend to have it be a daily driver, because as one of my favorite sayings goes, life is too short to drive boring cars

My first Camaro was a 1969 Camaro 350 4-speed in the picture. It was painted shortly after this picture but I'll have to find those pics. I had a 1972 Camaro SS 396 4 speed buy don't have any pictures. Now I have the 2010 SS.

1988 Firebird Formula 305TPI M5 - White with that horrendous rubber spoiler

1991 Firebird Formula 305TPI 1LE - Black - Loved this car. I still regret selling it 15 years later.

1995 Z28 - Red, A4, T-Tops - Sold this one to my little sister, she had it for many years before it got stolen.

1995 Z28 - Silver - M6, 361ci LT4 (yes, 4 bolt mains) with CC306 cam and the works M6. Took the engine out of the '96 i had when the body went to crap and I parted it out

1996 Z28 - Purple - Same as above engine wise with an A4 and 3000 stall Yank, It was fast.

1998 Firebird Formula - Red, A4, Hardtop

1999 Trans Am - Pewter, A4, 3.42's with a Yank, LT's, and true dual's.

Slight detour with some non-muscle, and a 2014 Challenger R/T, and now I'm back in the fold with my '15 2SS/RS. It just feels right to me!

I had an '82 Z-28. Fun low power car that I bought used for about 5k. The auto would chirp the goodyear gt radials with very tight shifts. That is until the trans started slipping at 39k miles. I sold it for $3800. I remember the ride was on the stiff side but it cornered flat without drama.
Also it didn't like synthetic oil which was sort of new back then. It kept eating quarts and creating leaks. OH WELL

Bought an '84 Camaro in 1985 when I was 25. My current 5th Gen. convertible is my second one. Think I'll be holding on to it for a while.
