I don't recommend you installing keyless entry and engine start. It's very easy to hack. You can watch this YouTube video for more info.

Well, I ripped the kit out, and am going back to a Viper kit which will have a shock sensor set to nazi-mode, may also invest in a backup battery as well to keep the alarm going off. Usually don't take the car around shady neighborhoods anyway

When the kit tried to start the car, what did the DIC say? If it was a theft deterrent message, there was a VATS / Passkey issue. If it stated to press the clutch, the signal wasn't present that the clutch was pressed. I have installed a Viper 5906V in my 2012 M6 and I had to tie into one of the three circuits on the clutch switch and I had to use a resistor. The circuit could not be constantly grounded or the BCM would fault it so it was only active during the startup sequence.

I've had the Advanced Keys system for over a year. It's been working great.

This thread- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372823 highlights some difficulties I ran into and should help anyone interested in it.

I'm going to run away from systems like this. I'd much rather rely on a key to run the engine than a module. Plus, now that I'm running in auto mode, the viper kit works great. Just have to fix my parking light wire (came loose), and add the window roll/smart start module

It's a shame you let a bad system leave such a sour taste in your mouth for this idea but to each their own; I love the convenience. Stock keys work like normal with this system, fyi.

I'm sure when it works, it's awesome, but I also like the expandability with the Viper system as well
