I went thru the same problemand the dealer replced the diffuser & entire exhaust because the directions that came with the GMPP axleback had them cut the exhaust too far back from the original cans...had a hard time gettin them centered but all is good now...looks & sounds great IMO......and no more melting! The bowtie on the tips can even be seen now!
