I am not trying to run anyone off. Really it is a simple question. I am not knocking anyone who has a V6 in fact it is a very nice car. My thought would have to be that most people who did not get a V8 simply did not want that much HP or for financial or insurance reasons. Am I wrong? With that being said if you take the cost of a V6 plus $8000 to SC it you could have had a V8.

Lol Aby, he technically has a point and technically doesnt.
For some, having a completely blown out v6 is just a great feeling But it truly does make more sense to go witht he v8 because the money you spend on the 6 will evenutally be as much if not a little more money then what the cost would have been to get the v8. Not even counting the brembo FE3 suspension and what not. In the end with the V6, not sure what the max whp you can get with v6 safely -> 400ish?, but thats where its stops. Where as the v8, you can go farther with power hunger. Hes got a point, but like i said, some people just love knowing that they got a completely blown out v6 that is highly underestimated cough cough* Aby with her soon to be sleeper

Well you could go with the V8, switch front ends, spoiler and emblem delete and there you go?
![]() That would be a sleeper alright. :0) Bryan |

If my plan comes along, i wil have the budget for some serious upgrading next summer or the following year. By that time, i will have to decide " Blown out killer v6....or CCrazy V8" At this point i dont know which one to choose, ill know closer to then but thats only if my life plan stays on track |

Don't let them steal your joy.
Amazing, has anyone thought that she may just like her car? and when she bought was perfectly happy with the v6? and would like to have a built out, unique car to call her own? What kinda depreciaton hit would she take trading for a v8, $2-3K? So now the difference between the two is closer to $10k Rock on Aby.

![]() @Aby... Blown V6's ROCK! ![]() My last 6... ![]() Don't listen to anyone that says building a fast V6 is a waste of money... I've been there and it's quite a thrill! And hopefully I'll be there again!

The 6 is over 100 lbs. lighter than the 8 and handles better. She's building for autocross and short roadcourse racing; she's doing it exactly right for what she wants to do.

The V6 is a great engine. Perhaps it won't make the same power as the LS3 does once modding comes into play, but if someone wants something a little different there is nothing wrong with the V6. It's no different then someone after marketing there 370z, or Genesis coupe, or whatever. I am confident it will make enough power to make alot of people go

![]() Also once you start getting lighter wheels (Aby has), lighter exhaust (dunno but she may have), and other parts, it all adds up. |

Wouldn't it upset you if your V8 was just beaten in a drag race by a V6 when the V6 owner is already using cheaper gas, paying less insurance and gets better gas mileage no matter how much they spent to out run you?
