it already has 4 doors. the back door handles are on the rear fender. id say they should make it and have it be a competator for high line sedans like the mercedes cls! they both have the same design to them.

Perhaps he wanted 6 doors? Now that would be unique.

I am so happy we didn't get that. I would've lost my love for Chevy cars.

I didn't see the door handles. I like it that much better now. It has an upscale look to it compared to the cookie cutter cars on the road nowadays.
A Sebring was chasing a Toyota today, looked like they came from the same pencil.
That car was never on a Camaro concept drawing board...Was it?

I'm glad. That SS concept is kinda fugly. Looks like a 4500 pound Chevy Solstice stretched out.

haha i remember this car, liked it when it first came out and still do. Dimension shape and rear end looks just like an Aston Martin DB9. Make the front end more modern and use the same engine set up as the ZR1, exotic interior 150k price tag and you have a Euro Fighter.

I chuckled and said, well there’s nothing new about that concept, that's the Chevy SS, that concept is over 5 years old and will never see production. Not only that but they had a guard posted to protect the "new concept". Please!

It was one of those GM senior moments.

A bit of clarification:

1.....we never agreed to send the Camaro concept to Dayton -- we agreed to send the SS concept -- and we did. Not sure why they told you that....

2....there was a guard on that car because it is a very expensive concept car -- and a few 'bad apples' will sometimes take it upon themselves to just jump over the barrier and open a door and get in..........and then SLAM the door -- which usually does damage..........thus the guard.

3....while the car is polarizing, it has clinic'd off the charts -- however, we do not have plans to build it. (wish we did!!!!)

4....it was never meant to be a 'Camaro' or a 'Camaro replacement'
