+1. Even though it looks great, it looks much taller. Does it feel taller even though the throw is shorter?

That was hilarious!! lol
Looks killer though. Good choice with the aluminum knob.

Well I got it in!!! It was simple install. My dad and I did it in about 1.5 hours in the driveway. Sorry SSooch... you got mailslotted!

The driving experience is AMAZING. This is how it should be! It is a wee bit taller though, which is awesome. Much better feel in your hand.

Alright. So a lot of you wanted to know what I thought of the shifter after some time with it.

It's INCREDIBLE!

I can't believe how it makes the car come together. I'm not sure how to explain it. But whenever I drive my Brother's 70 1/2 Z/28 it just feels like a machine. When I got my Camaro it was missing something. It almost felt too plush. After installing this shifter it gives it a nostalgic feel to it and brings back the feeling of an older muscle car. Almost makes you one with the "MACHINE".

It's a very short throw, I'd almost say it's more than the advertised 44% shorter throw, more like 60% shorter throw. It clicks when putting it into gear and as I said before it's like sliding the bolt on a rifle. It's very mechanical.

As far as the rattling noise. I clocked about 200 miles with it this weekend and I'm not sure what most are talking about because I have not heard this "rattle". Under really hard acceleration from 2nd to 3rd gear there is a slight rattle noise from the shifter column but I could have sworn that noise was there from the stock set up as well. I'll try to get a video soon with audio.

Final Verdict: If you have a manual trans and some money to spare...DO IT! It's Bitchin'

800 miles on mine now and the feel of this shifter gets better and better and no noticable increase in vibration or noise from when it was first installed. The vibration is slight under hard acceleration but not bothersome at all. It does remind me of my old M21 with Hurst comp plus shifter in my 74 Camaro. Very Happy with mine!!!!
