Some of us are still on here..yup, I am one of many who deliberately pulled the trigger on a 13 to move on from my 11 as the look was compromised on the rear with more plastic for a diffuser, and wrap around taillight not as retro ; and the front not so bad but thinner grilled as the updates were not mechanical in respects except for the addition of color hud only body make over occurred..a refresh of the body lines tweak that well does not remind me of the rear of a old 69 Camaro..theres no chrome sectioning the shape....not so retro but that's IMO

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...+pic&FORM=IGRE

SO for the mechanical/ suspension/tech upgrades they hit in 13 and earlier leaving the 14-15 with out additions like electric power steering or a second power seat or retro mirror and rear view camera ..touch screen even and suspension upgrade to be substantial upgrades....Basically we Knew when they did the refresh and gave the ls7 to the z-28 we were pretty much toast and a couple years out for a new body style to lighten weight and yes Barrack was around and CAFE standards breathing down the necks of GM , Fomoco, etc etc...

SO that's the history, many decided in 13 they wanted a 13...and maybe a upgrade like mine to all the options I could get in the color I wanted. I like the mylink and its not so in your face as some way high stupid screens on cars now so big in the middle of the dash taking up the windshield LOL but I did like the CD player and ease of operation of the 11 radio I had also.

The "interesting" part of the used market for these years (for the ZL1 anyway) is that the general consensus on camaro5 is that the motor/drivetrain on these cars are pretty darn bulletproof and can withstand a beating and many daily drive their cars. Daily driving is obviously going to put on some miles...apparently miles destroy the value in the market. '12-'14 ZL1s under 10k miles range anywhere from upper-$30k's to low $40k's, but if you throw a few thousand miles on one...say 25k+ and the prices start hovering more around the low $30k's and aren't really moving off the lots based on "listing history".

I mean, I understand low miles is a good thing and all, but 25-35k miles and low $30k's vs, 10k miles and low $40k's??? I like low miles and all, but not $10k worth hahahaha

I loved the look of the 5th gen since I first saw it, always was going to get one but life......

Just bought a 13' ss with 20,000 miles, blast to drive!

I'm in the camp that prefers the styling of the 10-13's, the 13's have a better looking steering wheel and a little better interior IMO.

Whats so different in the interior between a 13 SS and an 11 SS other then the MYlink? The steering wheel in the 111 has Camaro on it as well as SS on the bottom...from pics ive seen the one in the 13 is plain with the Chevy emblem....looks like most other cars in the lineup. Im talking about the SS ...im not sure about the v6. First vid is the 13...second is the 11.

1. It was the last year for the 5th gen.

2. The midcycle update, which was introduced the year before, only lasted two
short model years. As time goes on, this will make them more rare than the '10-'13's which looked basically the same for 4 model years.

3. SS's got a cool looking standard hood scoop.

4. Base/non RS package three segment tail lights look similar to the '69 1st gen which the 5th gen was originally based off.

5. RS/SS rear spoiler was more aggressive. The Z28 spoiler was even more aggressive and with the wickerbill option was about as good as it got from the factory.
This, all if this.

The 13 had also as part of the MYLINK a back up camera which shortly was required on all new vehicles, the Retro mirror, a screen larger than in the mirror for the back up cam in the mylink and leather on the dash and also the important passenger side power seat also along with another steering wheel shape. For just the interior upgrades, 14 they made a couple colors for the HUD....etc.
