Smile Very Satisfied

I think the interior looks great! I think its the right amount of today mixed with yesterday. The only thing I'm hoping for is an option for push button start. I can live without it, but I think it would be pretty cool...

I'm Satisfied of these pictures are acurate. Some things that would make me Very Satisfied can't be shown in a picure. Like the features displayed on the screen between the guages (accelerometer, G-meter?) or the sound quality of the autio system, or the comfort/soft touch of the seats and interior pieces...

Very Satisfied.

Although I 'll need to actually sit in the car and check out the feels and looks of the RS package (leather seats etc etc) I do like what I see a lot.

I do not understand what the fuss is about with the shifter. I 've seing better myself and I would love to switch that with an aftermarket Concept-like one, whenever someone makes such a thing available, but who cares about the shifter so much to ditch the car because of it?

The big prob would be if someone didn't like the main gauges... or the whole look of the main console where the radio/cd things sits. Complaining about the shifter is like complaining about the pedals at our feets. Just get new aftermarket aluminium ones...

Thumbs up, absolutely love it.

(PS: Would be nice if the RS package had aluminium sporty pedals, aluminium shifter etc...)

Just going by the photos, it looks like the materials aren't up to snuff in a lot of places however. Some things look a bit ergonomically strange, like the tucked away headlamp switch, the redundant cruise controls on the wheel AND on the signal stalk, and the 4-console gauges. The wheel itself still looks a bit strange but it's growing on me. Until I see it in the flesh, I won't know if those questionable items are really questionable, so I'll still go on the "satisfied" end of the spectrum, but not too far into it until I see it live.

This and the radio being utterly impossible to switch out for an aftermarket system.

I think you have it backwards. I think the steering wheel has DIC
controls. The stalk is a parts-shelf stock piece, probably the only
shelf part in the whole interior, and it clearly says "SET/CLR" next
to the standard recessed button:

Okay, so it's not exactly parts shelf -- usually they say set/coast,
not set/clear. You'll also notice that the steering wheel controls on
that side don't look like cruise -- the upper-left button is obviously
a clock or gauge, a half-circle with marks and a needle. Below that
is a square with some stuff in it, obviously not cruise control related.
The knob is marked above with something I can't make out that
doesn't look like cruise, and below with two lines of text that
admittedly could be set/coast.

May I take a moment to complain that the spokes on the steering
wheel are too wide? They're positioned perfectly for me to hold it
by the spokes but too wide for comfort..

I'm one of the main complainers about the shifter. I think it's too thick, and besides being ugly it looks like it won't feel comfortable. Don't go thinking it would discourage me from getting a Camaro, though... That's an easy and cheap modification to make the car unique and better for me!

I am quite sure the cruise buttons are on the steering wheel. My Mom has a 2007 Buick Lucerne, and her cruise switches are on the steering wheel and has the same speedometer looking graphic with the needle and an arrow.

The button below it looks to be the cancel button (square with an "X" through it, just like the Lucerne), and the thumbwheel looks to be the set/speed up/speed down (press the thumbwheel to set the speed, turn the wheel up or down to increase/deacrease speed).

Most every post 2006 GM vehicle now have all the cruise buttons on the steering wheel, as they have pretty much eliminated the "smart stick" stalk for cruise/wipers/turnsignals. I would be very surprised if the put the cruise on the turnsignal for the 2010 Camaro.

I would think it makes a difference....the HUDs initial intention and design from years ago was to keep your eyes on the roadway and stop you from having to continuously drop your line of vision to the speedometer or other vital vehicle information....(truthfully, in your defense ...anyone who crashes from looking at their speedometer is an idiot...but also with that said.....it has happened. Think cop parked in the median, lady looks down at her speedometer and actually physically watches her speedometer lower to the speed limit as she approached red light....yea...I had to handle that crash)

The area you highlighted is at the same level as the speedometer as opposed to being mere inches below where your line of site is on the windshield. Trust me, when you drive one....it will make one and you will notice a difference

From a good source, it has HUD. The source hasnt been wrong so far, but there is always a first time.

I believe its optional on V6s and SS.
