Even the power seats have different controls, right vs. left. Throttle pedals, clutch setup, the list goes on and on. And that's to be able to sell a mere handful of cars compared to the thousands of them which are sold here.

I'd guess the profit margin is even less for a modded car than it is here.

Read the "Coments" in the add. It says it will be converted in January. That must be why it's so expensive.

Reading the ad, it seems to me the seller is doing the conversion himself, meaning it will cost even more than if Chevvy did it themselves!

Out of curiosity, what is the decision with Chevvy doing a RHD from the factory, I have seen a thread saying they are going to, and a comment in this thread saying they are not??!

Whats more is the 2010 Camaro is based on a slighty modified platform used In our Holden Commodore (VE)

Just had to get this rant off my chest, it has been really bugging me lately seeing so many people having fun with their new Camaro's on this forum and us in Aus can't get them with ease
I'de wish we could help more. I'de would recommend wait a while or try a car exporter from here in the US can't see why it woud cost more than 50 thousand when everything is said and done for a base ss or maybe even a 2ss. Or better yet find a dealler online near an area you'de allways wanted to visit place your order fly in to inspect it and then ship it with a car shipping company. That way you get a Vacation out of the whole deal. The only other thing would be getting used to the left hand drive.

It won't be legal to drive a left hand drive 5th-gen Camaro in Australia until 2024.
