Have you heard of anyone working something to limit the shifting? Personally I'd rather lose some of the comfort to have a more solid setup.

Scrming you posted a pic that supports the tranny a lottle bit looks to me it would help limit the engine and tranny movement. What kinda kit would this be called and where could a person look for one at? What's the price on something like this

Yep, that's exactly what it does... limits the movement of things... The part in question is a K-member brace with engine torque limiters... runs about $160...

I've experienced the same problem, even under low load between 2 and 3000 RPM. After 2k miles it's seemed to subside a little, but still makes a clunk sound between 1st and 2nd. Please post the link if anyone finds a K-member w/ Engine torque limiters setup that would work. I haven't had much luck finding anything online specifically for the V6 Camaro.

Seems like a good investment simply to increase chassis rigidity to me...

I've only driven the V6 auto so far though, so I can't comment about the shifting issues.

Put mine to the test, and its the same whether I shift at 2k or 6k, its not smooth as silk, its kind of like a minor click into and out of gear. I like it and got used to it real quick. And its the same feeling in every gear.

Yep, also, you have to remember you are wasting some energy letting the motor/tranny twist...

Does anyone make this K-member w/ Engine torque limiters setup currently for the V6?

I'm not even sure anyone is making them for the V8... the picture is from a Mustang.... just kind of using it as an example...

So basically its good for a reduction in drivetrain loss also.

Somebody needs to come out with these - heh. I wonder how difficult they would be to make? My dad makes hand made knives for a living so I have access to quite a good bit of machinery...

Yes, in theory, should help with with performance... mainly on launches I would think... I don't have first hand experience with these... other thing you could do is go to new motor mounts, but apparently something like the k-member brace is a LOT easier to install..

Monte, it looks like you switched out your shifter. Is that the Hurst? Has it made a noticable difference? Is it a difficult project?
