It's designed for the 6 since the SS doesn't have a spare anyway.
Seems reasonable, sooner they had put the damn battery elsewhere though.

I'd like a spare for my '11 as well, but I damn sure ain't gonna spend upwards of $350 for one....Might take a little while, but I'm in no hurry.

Modern spare is an 18” aluminum wheel that fits front or rear and rated to 80 mph. Comes with a scissor jack and fits in the wheel well with 1/2” lift on the cover. Great peace of mind.

My only concern with the 18” wheel is the talk about differential issues, possible damage. Can anyone confirm or dispel this?
Thanks

I got a kit from Performancespare.com - includes space-saver tyre and rim, jack, lug nut wrench. Fits flat under the trunk mat. Clears the Brembo calipers on my SS & thankfully I've never had need to use it. IF I ever need to, I'll ONLY fit it to a front due to the minor ride height difference (which "could" wind-up the diff and damage it) I work in heavy equipment and have had experince of this happening. So, a puncture on a rear would mean jacking up the front, fitting the space-saver and putting the good front on the rear replace the flat one. Hope that makes sense...
Ed
PS; Recommend the kit, the guys were helpful and the kit content is good quality.
