Already did the intake, exhaust and tune, the lowering spring, body kit and some trim mods to bring the red into the car.
Now I have decided to go full show, weekend only car.
Bought a Kia Soul to daily, and garaged the Camaro.

Current plans are air ride suspension, rebuild engine with a bigger cam, convertor, and gears.

Also Never owned a 10 second car so going for the 10.99.

From there, only time will tell, but never getting rid of it..

I wanted a near ideal muscle car as a weekend toy. I put about $7k in mods to appearance, audio, hp in it. It's not the bestest at anything compared to what others have or have done but it's 90%, or in some areas better, overall.
It's been fun but when it's done due to a DUI crashing into it or something I'll likely just go to a truck with mods.

Mustang Mach-E video with good info on Mustang history and future with sales figures on Camaro and Challenger too.

Yeah I get it, muscle cars were popular, now not so much. Only 50,000 sold in a year compared to a million trucks for Ford or GM. Challengers are gaining popularity and so are the RAM trucks.
Clearly SUV, Truck, Electric Vehicle and hybrid are the mix now and in the near future. I envision a future not so far off, with smaller autonomous vehicles where a comfortable ride and infotainment are most important and handling and hp nearly ignored.
Which would you rather be stuck in stop and go commute traffic in a Hellcat or:

I'd rather be having my fillings rattled out by my pushrod V-8, rocking from cam surge and a radio I can't hear over my exhaust, with shitty driveability, shitty gas mileage. Thats just me though

Honestly? Depends on my mood and the length of the trip. I'd love to have a way to go to sleep and wake up in Florida or Niagara Falls, as the mood struck. I also want to have play time with muscle car.

What I really need is a holodeck, I suppose.

I'm keeping mine forever. I kept it stock for a few years and then the modding started, current goal is to hit 600hp at the wheels. That'll probably keep me happy for a year or two and then the modding will start again.

You’re probably right. Thankfully, we have a little time left to enjoy actually driving a car. I don’t want to sound like the guy that thought the horseless carriage would never replace or be better than horseback but, let me just say that I am glad to be a product of an older generation who grew up in a time where when a hot rod drives by, you get goosebumps. The times they are a changing.

I'll drive the wheels off of it as my daily. Not modding. Well, at least not much. I bought it with kooks and a ported TB. I may do a rotofab intake but that'll be it. I want to keep it reliable. Plus it's fun to drive just the way it is!

Thanks for all the replies... awesome to read what you all think and plan to do with these badass rides...

Mine's a keeper. Not going anywhere if I can keep her in good shape and without getting dinged or something.

The bushing swap/repair gave new life to how sturdy this car feels. The suspension work (Hotchkis) has been a great and fun mod to this car's driveability on the road and freeways, and through the hills. The stance and wider wheels and tires make it look just my perfect taste in aggressive styling for this ride.

The cosmetic mods made an already beautiful car, even prettier in my eyes... this car being mine my eyes are really all that matter. I gawk and glance at it daily... and feel the need to drive it at different points of the day.

The exhaust and power, light on its feet feel are just lovely, therapeutic... just raw fun...

Paid for. Mine. Keeping it for as long as I can. Fixing what breaks. Making what's weak, strong. Taking care of it so I can continue to have fun with it, and look good having it.

Long story short, my son bought a 2014 1LT V6 Auto Non-RS with 40k miles and it has since passed on to me.
It's my daily, so now that I've fixed it up slightly (new tires, new battery, LED headlights, new tail lights, and installed catch can), I plan on driving it for the next few years before passing it back to him upon his graduation from college. The only other mod on my To-Do list is the ported throttle body.
