Man that’s crazy. You guys have some bad ass holdens down there that I’d love to have available here. Too bad in there infinite wisdom, mother GM killed them off too. I’m big time sick of GMs crap from the last few years but that’s a whole other thread.

Is that a legal requirement? Here you can drive either, legally.

Right? I swore off anything GM after I bought almost new, the complete turd that was my 2004 Monte Carlo. I've owned almost 80 cars and bar none - that was the poorest made automobile of the bunch. It was so bad that 5 years later I traded it for a guitar just to get rid of it.

But by then the new Camaros had come out and I knew I had to have one...grin...

Lol, my son is still driving a 2004 Monte Carlo. I’ve had the dash out three times - rebuilt the gauge cluster by replacing the gauge stepper motors, replaced the multifunction (aka turn signal) switch and finally replaced the hazard switch. For the last one, I bought a replacement dash on eBay since taking the dash out multiple times took its toll.

Outside of that, it’s been a good reliable car.

Really wish I had kept my '06 GTO. A lot of folks didnt like them, but they were built right and had the best interior of anything I have owned. That being said...since the 5th gen was on the same platform, I knew what I was getting. I think rarity will be in the eye of the beholder. Who would ever think a 50's VW 21 window minco bus would sell for 300k.

It did have a good power plant but it was still a lemon in my book for everything you just mentioned. I started doing that crap when it had less than 50K on the ODOM. And when a single dash bulb went out behind the his and her climate controls and GM wanted to charge me almost $600 for the OEM replacement part, I said enough was enough. I was so pissed off, I called the head office and ranted at the poor girl in charge of whatever department it was that I finally got through to.

I loved those cars - it's just too bad GM decided to build it around the Cavalier frame. That was its downfall.

They genuinely need to fire all of there designers and start fresh. The only thing there new stuff has going for it is the C8. New trucks are ugly, the new Camaros aren’t much better... I won’t even start on the smaller SUV’s. The Colorado ZR2 is another exception to this list, I’d drive on of them in a heart beat with a duramax. The performance of the Camaro is amazing in all V8 variants but the looks kill it for me.

Southern Indiana checking in. We have a fair amount of Gen 5 running around here, just a hair more than Gen 6 from what I can tell. I don't have any actual numbers, so I'd have to purely speculate at this point, but I wouldn't say that they're generally "uncommon" to see. Interestingly enough I don't recall seeing more than one other Summit White one.

I had an 06 Brazen Orange that I sold for my 1LE. I loved that car and never saw another Brazen in my life. Definitely a rare car but honestly for me I am happy I made the upgrade.

I personally like the camaro interior better but it might be the recaros which was a big reason I bought it. My 1LE is probably "rarer" then the GTO tbh.

You can only have LHD if it’s over 30 years old, there are plenty of Gen 1’s and 60’s model Mustangs running around LHD.
