just curious, is this a "wet" or "dry" filter system?

Wet but you could probably find a dry filter for it.

Weird, just checked today and still had "IN STOCK" noted. That's not nice...I could have ordered it elsewhere or something else... hmm

And it arrived! Installed it with the help of my sister and her friend (for moral support I guess). It took maybe about 30 - 40 minutes to install and it made a GREAT difference on my L99:

It would be after you add it to the cart and it would be a coupon code prior to putting in the CC#. It may no longer be valid as it was a Christmas code????!

Jannetty Racing don't let me down!

I am excited to install my CAI! Do they come pre-oiled?

I see that Jannetty's site now says 'out of stock'.

But, wow, I've still not been contacted on my "IN STOCK" order from 10 days ago. Still says...processing...I figured that if they ran out of stock they would at least contact me to let me know that!! The kicker is: THEY ALREADY CHARGED ME!! Jannetty's service is looking a bit marginal.

BTW I didn't call them. But, I shouldn't have to. I've already paid; I've done my part. It'd be nice to have them do theirs. I'll give another few days to at least be contacted. If not I will be quite disappointed and my word of mouth may not be very pleasant!

thanks CruznSS! hmmm...it's a pretty straight forward to do the install, but the only trouble I was having was getting it to fit snug in the engine compartment.

Having the proper tools helps as well. You will need a flat-head screwdriver, 10mm deep socket, a torx screw (t-20 I think), a heat gun (or a lighter), a Corona (or your beer of choice), a buddy to help keep your head cool when things don't just "fall into place".

I made a video of my install but still piecing it together.

EDIT: The video I made has really dim lighting, so I'm not sure if you guys even want to take a look at it. It does, however, show the basic steps to installing the intake.

Yes, the filter comes pre-oiled. Really? I find it hard to believe that it still says processing. I called them to find out what the status of my order was because I ordered on Dec. 30th and read that they would process all orders on Jan 4th. To be honest, I only called b/c I'm inpatient as heck and wanted to get an update. They send me the tracking number at the end of the day.

I think you should just call them and find out. It's better than just waiting for them to call, at least you'll find out.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be drinking a Budweiser. Lucky part is I get em for free. I'm a filler operater at Anhueser Busch. Will need one prior to starting cuz I can get frustrated pretty quick but dont plan on messin up on my baby! Like I said, looks real good under the hood. Waiting patiently for mine now...lol.

So you got a tracking number and was delivered? Weird. I just checked again now and it does still say 'processing'.

I guess I don't have to be in a hurry to install it, as it's pretty cold here anyway. I'm not upset that it's backordered, but a bit miffed that I've already paid and should expect it to arrive in the mail or at least have them contact me and explain that it went backorder rather than simply...processing...for a month. So they're going to make 3 cents in interest on my payment while I wait a month.

I think I'll let this be a 'random' customer service test to see what happens. I'll contact them in about a week if they don't contact me first. I had MUCH better luck when I ordered my exhaust from www.lmperformance.com/

I just figured that the a small company should have BETTER customer contact than places like AMAZON.com. When I bought a Garmin GPS from Amazon, I got several updates when the item was late to ship. It would be too bad to have better service from 'the man' than the little guy... I won't give up on them yet...but it's looking a bit cloudy!
