I do miss the beaches in Oregon. I grew up on the coast. But after 55 years I had to call it quits for a variety of reasons - politics, cost of living, weather. I am very happy to be living in southern Nevada now. Love it here.

I don't. It'll ride a little rougher for the first 5-10 miles in the Spring but that's as much "flat spot" as I ever get.

I lived abroad for two years and left a truck in the US. It sat the entire time. Other then a new battery it needed nothing. The gas was fine. The tires were fine. Folks over think this.

Where in Maryland are you that you’d park a Camaro for the winter? I was in NOVA and we missed like 3-4 C&Cs a year in winter.

Getting ready for winter got an oil change, shopping for snow tires, and took the front spltter off so I don't snowplow any of the white stuff. No salt on the roads here so we are good to go. Some of you guys who do not drive in the snow should one time for fun take your car out into a large snowy parking lot and turn donuts. Lots of fun that is while all of the time trying to avoid the parking stall barriers. You really need to be mindful of them this activity is only recommended for us professionals.

Yes, everyone stay where you are. Too many people moving here as it is. Just remember we have flying scorpions, man-eating cockroaches and temps above 130 degrees in the shade. Small pets have been known to spontaneously combust. Poof, they're gone.

true enough.in the late 70s a buddy of mine was out doing doughnuts in a sears parking lot in his 440 6 pak road runner and hit a fire hydrant concealed in a snowbank...doh.

Yeah, same happened to my son Little Ricky. He had a 92 Camaro, I think it was his first car, I was teaching him how to prefect his snowy donuts in a lot and he lit a light pole. I do not recall what the body shop bill was for that but I do know that whatever it cost it was not worth the fun that we had.

Oh for sure, I was running into a few issues with the heat! Got it all figured out now and I'm ready for some cool night rides.

Speaking of FL, I got in my car to run to the store the other day and there was a freaking lizard (Brown Anole) sitting on my dashboard near the defrost vent just staring at me. I have no idea how that little bastard got in there, but it did.

I made sure to get it out safely though, as I didn't want my car to become a reptile graveyard. I assume you guys have little (and huge) lizards there too huh?
I haven't seen many outside of a few geckos here and there, actually. A friend of mine does have a bearded dragon though, those are pretty cool.

I do miss the water a little bit lol, but that brings rust with it...so I'm doing fine with just a little dust on the car!

Lol, the coyotes (four legged) are getting big here in the ‘burbs and folks are bitching cuz they’re doing what coyotes do - eating small animals like the little yappy purse dogs people buy, treat like they’re kids but let them out at night with expected results. Either buy a bigger dog next time or put them on a leash when it’s pee time.
