My 2SS came with 20" wheels. I believe they are standard on the 2SS whether you get the RS package or not. I didn't care about the stripes. I will stripe mine, but it will be something not available from the dealer. I also could give a rats ass about two tone seats. The only thing that I wanted was the halo lights which I can get after market in RED. : ) Oh, and for much much less than the RS upcharge.

I bought the 2SS/RS because I could.
I like them all. At Camaro meets I've seen a couple of LT and LS Camaros. I think they are neat because they are unique and not all over the place like the SS. Would I want a 6 cyl Camaro ? no, but like I've said before- I've never seen a bad looking stock 5th gen Camaro.

I loved the headlights. That was my selling point for the RS package.

Once i saw those, it made the car even better for me.

I guess it boils down to one's personal tastes and choices.

If I was buying the LT I would get the RS package because you get a lot of cool extras with the add on especially the 20" rims. I purchased a 2SS and decided not to get the RS because I didn't want the midnight silver rims ( I ordered polished) and I didn't feel the ditch molding or darker taillights was worth it. The headlights are cool, but I didn't think it really changed the overall look of the car, not like say a 69 with the hideaway headlights. Now, if the RS package added more performance I would have purchased it for sure. I've also noticed that most of the SS's I see are SS/RS, which I feel makes mine a little different. I guess the RS question is just personal preference...Buy what you like.

The neat thing about our meets are that they are all different equipped cars just as we are all different individuals.

Wow! Thanks for reminding me that payments aren't real money!
You must be one of those finanancial geniuses who invented "credit default swaps" or someting like that, sorry I'm so ignorant about money matters. Now that you've straightened me out, I think I'll get one of those variable rate mortgages and buy a 5,000 square-foot house too while I'm at it.

So anyway, thanks for all the input folks . . . I've come full circle and I think I will go with the RS (if I actually go through with it and buy one of these toys . . . ) I do like the halos and since I would want winter wheels/tires anyway, so I might as well have the good stuff for the summer.

Save your RS package money on your alleged 2LT, find another $3k or finance it and get a 1SS instead.

I have said this a few times before: You will never regret getting a car nicer than you think you need. You will always regret getting a car that isn't quite as nice as you need.

I like the 20s because of the finish, I don't like the finish on the 19s and yes I much prefer the HID Halo lights compared to halogen. After driving a car with those for the last 3 years, I don't see myself ever getting a car with Halogens.

Also the HID lights are $1100 to $1800 installed aftermarket for EACH light. So yea the package is great value.
False. The fog lights cover a different area, at least in my Ranger and add addtional lighting up close.

I think it is preference, personally I think the RS package makes the Camaro. I just don't like the looks of a Camaro without the RS package. The wheels don't look good, the lack of spoiler is disappointed and when you look at one with halo's next to one without the halo's it is a world of difference. But that's me.
