Sacrifice = Appreciation!

Think about it, your short term effort brings a long term Camaro.

Be proud, your doing the right thing ... Work hard, enjoy the reward!

At risk of being politically incorrect: I say work smart not hard. By getting a tertiary education you can earn as much as both your jobs combined in one week with regular hours. Or you can be an entrepreneur, start a business and earn even more than that (although you'd then be a slave to your business).

I once worked in a store where the manager was a train wreck and was horrible at running their store. It was Xmas time and we received our weekly delivery and she was so busy with family issues she didn't do much work and we fell way behind. Our next truck was due to arrive and we weren't even close to done with the previous weeks. So i worked from morning till about 4am to finish the first truck went home (about 7 mins away) slept for 3 1/2 hours went back to work and took in the next truck and worked until it was mostly done so it wouldn't happen again. In all I had worked 38 hours in a 42 hour time span and it was all physical work pulling pallets and hauling totes. By the end I wanted to die. lol She got demoted/stepped down soon after Xmas when she found out she was pregnant with her fourth kid from a third father and she just could no longer handle everything and manage her family responsibilities. I felt bad cause I really liked her she was just in over her head. That will always be remembered as the worst most insane time I can remember. (cold shudder)

yeah I hope I dont end up like that. Im thinking, if the weather is nicer out, I could even just, after i get off at 2:00, just drive to my other job and park outside and sleep in the car. I could just set my alarm on my cel phone and then Im there in the morning andcan get in an extra 3/4hour or so of sleep from the time id spend driving back home first, which is out of the way.

I called about it and they said its a term job that ends April 30. What a perfect coincidence since my Camaro should be here the following day and I can drop that money on the downpayment and be on my way with my new Camaro and back to just my regular day job. I called about it and got the job but I must really be desparate for this camaro because my regular job is mon-fri 8am to 3:30pm and then this new job is mon-thurs 4pm to 2am. So for the next 3 and a half months it looks like I will have absolutely no life at all but working 17.5 hours a day. Hope I can get enough sleep to manage it since this second job is a half hour drive from my home and I work so late and have to be up for a little after 7am to get ready to be at my regular day job for 8am which is about a 20 minute drive to get to. my new evening job starts next monday.

Just wondering also, has anyone else here taken on another job just for the Camaro?
I only read the first coulple posts and I think it would be worth it. If you get off at 2am and get home and in bed before 3am, up a little after 7, you will adjust. And since its only a few months, you can do it! Its going to suck, face it. But, you will have a HUGE chunk to put down. I read the comment about upgrading to an SS. If you don't care about that, then don't, get the V6 but i would upgrade to a 2LT/RS. The leather and heated seats are sweet. I don't drive my car in bad weather but i still love them feel of the leather. Your going to be putting yourself through hell, give yourself a little reward. I say that tongue in cheek b/c you say you are getting the Camaro regardless, with or without the night job so you need some more incentive!

GOOD LUCK and BE SAFE!!!

Thanks. well actually i kind of prefer the cloth to leather. my parents equinox with heated leather and its kind of sticky in the summer and cold in winter and i find the heat kind of awkwardly uncomfortable. also i wouldnt need the boston sound system because i plan on getting speakers and i have amps from my current car. also im already getting the convenience package so i think the only thing left is the cluster guages. dont worry bro. i realize the camaro itself is plenty of incentive to suffer it out. i have no doubt that the car will be well worth the pain. thanks for the encouragement though.
