I believe I mentioned this to someone else... But the problem with those bulbs is that they use multiple LEDs. Multiple light sources = blurred projection because they go throuh the stencil at different angles.

I just need ONE good LED or bulb.

Very cool mod OP. Very innovative! I would love to try this, but I'm having problems cutting up my car right now lol. Perhaps in a year or two =D

Thanks, all the cutting is hidden so even if you DO mess something up you can't see it

i wanted a brighter LED so i searched all over the place and found a great deal from a company in China

120 lumens per LED! (a maglight with 3D cell batteries oputs out 77 lumens...)

they are 3watt LEDs pre-wired with a heatsink for 12V. i just disassembled the bulb casing and took the LED and heatsink out.

So this can be used to replace the led? Do they have these in other colors?

i think it was ebay..I've already made a quite a few for other people (with different sayings)...i try to buy the LEDs and power drivers in bulk if possible. PM me if you have any questions.
