The grill is the one part of the Camaro I don't like. Don't care for the stock or heritage.

I think a SS emblem would look great...No Bowtie.

Question: You said it would look good on a black car without paint. Whats the surface of the outer frame on the Heritage. Would it hold up to the elements without paint or clear coat?

Here is mine painted and mounted with Chevy Bow Tie with Billet chrome insert.

I used 2 clips I receaved from a friend of mine I should have taken Pictures of them Sorry. However they are the same thing as the 4 clips you would remove from the old grill. You could probably use 2 of those and attach to the bowtie and grill. Then just follow the Bowtie install thread on this sight.
