If they were to make it and it looked like that...and was assembled in the US, I'd buy it.

You could make an argument that the 4th gen F bodies look nothing like the 1st gen. If there had not been continuous production, and decades had passed before they brought the model out again you would not see the evolution and be saying the same thing.

It's not classic enough. It needs to share more design cues with the original Chevelle, including a more square, angular appearance, like the Camaro.

Sadly I suspect that if the Chevelle ever did make a reappearance...it'd be with an extra set of doors on the back end.

There wouldnt be much sense for GM to throw 2 two door, Zeta platformed cars into the market under the same badge.

Sadly..I dont think there is room for the Chevelle, not unless they kill the Impala or Malibu

I think the back end is shaped similar to a 70 Chevelle, slightly. I think its a beautiful car, and they should offer it as a 4 door and 2 door models.

I agree...
I have owned 2 BB SS CHEVELLES in my life and both were LS5 cars...

If GM build a Chevelle SS I will have one as soon as it hits the floor :o)
I'll take mine in Tuxedo Black/White Stripes and White Interior

I think the Chevelle should be brought back to compete with the Charger. Two different two door coupes that would be on the same platform that would most likely be powered by the same powertrain, would obviously be bad for business. Bring it back to replace the Impala.

I agree.

GM needs something to compete with the Charger and Taurus SHO. A retro-(ish) Chevell 4 door (yes..I said that) with a V8 option between 360-390 HP and more comfort features would do well. If GM had been wise they'd have made one ready to compete with the Charger repop in 2011/12.

Is the charger even selling that great? GM already has the Impala and Malibu. If anything they should make a Chevelle out of a Mailbu.

my sentiments exactly. first the GTO next the Chevelle
not that they don't look good, at least extend the front end out some more and give it some length
