Double ditto! No front plate since 09/03/09. Had my plates for a month before I even put the rear on.

I used drive a Jeep back in Cali before I got to England and I never had a plate on it. Never got harassment either for it though. It's probably because the cops liked it though .

NJ as well - I went without the front plate since May '09 through to January '10 until Sir Nuke gave me the heads-up on this front plate holder on eBay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...64180591081107

Install was a breeze, it doesn't lean on the bumper and I can remove it for Car Shows if needed.

While I still contend that if you don't give a LEO a moving violation reason to pull you over they'll leave you alone. I now enjoy rolling past our fine men and women in blue knowing I'm "legal" (at least for the front license plate)...

One ticket from Iowa State Patrol. However, I was pulled over from behind for going 4 over...so something was coming regardless. (I have an Orange one with exhaust, so if your car blends in better you've got a chance)

I got away with it last summer because most of the officers I came across admired the Camaro. Only until the last car show in “Empire City in Yonkers raceway that a cop mention to me to “enjoy it now, but next year you better have plates on the front. It‘s the law“ so I installed the hideaway license bracket and it looks awesome.

I live in MD, very close to the DE border. It's required in MD but not in DE. While driving my 03 silverado, in DE, i got stopped by a MD state trooper. He passed by me and turned around to stop me. No ticket but i did receive a warning.

I went thru this front plate issue myself. Because I don't want any trouble I put it on. The dealer installed one that bolts on from under the car. See my car picks in my camaro5 garage for more details.

No plate. no tickets. So far. I leave the plate in the car. If I get pulled over I'll just pop it up on the dash. If I get a ticket and it costs me to much I buy the hide away plate holder. Till then I'm naked!

Been pulled over and warned once for it. I just told them I didn't want to drill into the car and my non drill kit was on it's way. They said no problem. I also asked a couple cops that I see at the hospital I work at and they said they've never written a ticket for it but they would if the person they pulled over was being rude about it.

I'm currently about 60%-40% in favor of not using a front plate. Being stopped by the cops or given a ticket while I am parked will be a big pain in the ass and the wallet. This is especially the case in White Plains and New Rochelle, where everywhere you go requires you to feed a meter usually any time of day... and meter maids and SuperCops with nothing better to do are always on the prowl in parking lots.
Plenty of cops have seen my car at point blank range. In NJ, had my car since June 12th and never received a warning or a ticket. Car is staying that way even if I get ticketed. No front plate ever! Looks totally lame and there is no way to make it stylish.

Get a front plate thats fine. But its NOT ON to drill into the front bumper. Id rather pay the ticket (which I know i will get) rather than drill.

Even if you find some other means, especially with vinyl ties, you are still going to leave marks on the front bumper over time. Why bother?
