Don't forget that the License Fee portion of that is tax deductible. Also, make sure you deduct the license fee portion when you purchased your car. It is listed on your sales contract.

Talking Renewal

I renewed my plates last month and they don't expire till April 30th. I used my $100 rebate card I got from Alltell it costed me $91 I still had $9 bucks left to buy some food

just got mine, $428.00, i was expecting closer to $500.00 so i'm happy, 2ss with personalized plates.

got my camaro in june and i recieved mine registration renewal already, don't remeber the price but i do remember its something rediculous as well

I'll take $450 any day.......Be thankful you don't live in Massachusetts. We have what they call an "excise tax". This is a yearly tax on every vehicle that is registered. The tax is $25 per $1,000 value of the car.

My excise tax this year was $750 and this comes due every year. The only saving grace is that they de-value the car dramatically after a couple of years, but the first 2-3 years on a new car is a killer.
