I was at a Chevy/Pontiac Dealer the other day and was looking at the all the vehicles on the lot. I really feel sorry for any G6 owners, because the antenna is mounted dead center at the front of the roof; looks like Sh** and I mean Sh**…

I love them, and I hope to see them become the standard.

last I checked, onstar was free for the first year, then if you don't want it, cancel the service. They don't force you to buy a plan after the free trial period.

yeah...they can't force you to buy it after the first year..

I understand its free and then I can cancel, but I dont want to look at the equipment for a service I wont keep and never wanted. This type of equipment should not be standard, if someone likes Onstar then order it, GM should not force their Onstar on the customer by making it standard.

goes back to bundling options to save money, it is also a big selling point that no one else has. so they push it to reinforce how much safer a car with it is.

I like On Star. I've had it in my last four GM vehicles. And I like XM, so it's a necessary evil.

I agree. Had my 03 Silverado SS had the two antennas on it I would not have bought it. A lot of the members @ Silverado SS . com have the antennas but dropped their service once the free trial was over.

You mean Silverado owners were upset over a little shark fin antenna but not that ugly, 3' long mast antenna for the AM/FM radio?

It's just a gaping eyesore, and GM should integrate the AM/FM antenna in the body. The shark fin is a joke compared to that.
