I actually like how you took from model to actual paint on your C5......

I'd love to try something like this myself. I want to do an IBM version w/ Beige interior. But here's my question: What model is a good model to get? Is there one that is easier to take apart?

Also, I have a 2LT so a model w/o the mail slot would be cool.

At this time you won't find a larger scale model without the mail slot.

However, Greenlight does make a 1:64th scale (matchbox size) V6!

I'd say the 1:18 scale 2010 Camaro SS model by Jada would probably be the best one to use.

We now have another choice for 1:18 & 1:24 Diecast Camaro Models!

We now have another choice for 1:18 & 1:24 Diecast Camaro Models!

Besides Jada, Maisto now makes these in both scales.
Colors (1:18 Scale): Burgundy & Yellow/Black Rally Stripes.

Pictures:

From what I can readily see, the Maisto model has a shark fin antenna on the roof, a more detailed inner trunk, same size wheels/tires all round and more detailed window pieces.

The biggest improvement over the Jada model is a more correct roof line shape in regards to the slope of the A-pillars. Another improvement are the brake calipers and rotors.

Plus, the front wheels are steerable!
(I'm not sure if the steering wheel is functional though)

I have just ordered 2 models.

I'll post up better pictures after they arrive.
(unless someone that may already have one is willing to do so sooner)

Hi Vance,

I have been trying to get a personalized die-cast model of my SGM Camaro and have heard that you do great work. Here are some PICS to see if you can do this (not sure because of ground effects) please let me know if you can and the cost.

Thanks
Mel

They are selling these at my local Costco for 12.99. There is also a police car version.

I've been wanting to do one in Summit White for awhile now! I keep waiting on them to release one from the factory but it doesn't look like they ever will! IMO Summit White is the best color for the Camaro....the detailsa nd trim make it pop! Sorry ABM guys but those models look great!
