Not to be a big bag of downers, but if you're not sure you can afford it, then you probably can't. Make SURE you can swing the payments without having to live on Ramen noodles for the next 6 years or you will just resent your car instead of enjoying it. There are bound to also be financial emergencies that will arise for which you will be glad to have some savings.

Maybe you could find a used one in a year or so in great shape and make it easier on yourself.

I would say go for it if you feel you possess the maturity to budget your money and be responsible financially, but if your at the mentality that you want to party and waste money doing that then I would say wait for a while. I am assuming you will need a cosigner since you are so young? Remember financing a car is a serious commitment, you must take into account maintenance costs, gas, insurance, and still being able to save money. Make sure you have a rainy day fund in case you lose your job or your hours are reduced. Being that young you do not want to ruin your credit or someone else that may assist you. Either way the Camaro is an awesome car so good luck to you

At least for me Camaro will be special car.
I would never buy Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla with loan, not to mention all Camaros costs are much higher.

To me Camaro will be hobby. Just like some 1967 Camaros are still running. My 2010 will be running after 30 years.

At that age the last thing I would have wanted was a 5 or 6 year car loan. Like one of he previous posters said stuff happens. Keep any car payment a small portion of your monthly budget.

Is the car worth it? For the price, yes. if you can really afford it.

Wait until you are more financially secure as not only do you have to budget payments, you need insurance which is higher on a car of this value and type, maintenance, mods. Wait.
