Might be just me but Ive noticed that when mods are done, generally it takes the big dip out of the 5000-5500rpm range. Obviously some sorta choking going on there on a stock setup.

One thing about Airaid's own test that still bothers me. Why did they use one with a manual trani when most guys are running autos? Ya think they had a good reason?

Cuz manuals are cooler

Or simply because that's what they happened to have available.

Well, I have converted over from Airaid to INJEN last night ! The initial runs prove to me that this was a wise choice. So far, seat of the pants testing, feels like there is a boost at the low end ! It looks fantastic and the sound is impressive. Can't wait to get this baby on a dyno !

Thank you scrming for spending your time and money to do this head-to-head test! If you put up a paypal link I'd be happy to contribute.

Airaid still has my respect as a company. For the most part they've kept a professional attitude throughout all this, and put their "money where their mouth is" so to speak by sending a test unit to scrming. If they refine their product I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them. But for now, I'm planning on getting the Injen.

I am reserving judgment about Airaid as a company based on their response to this new test. If all we get is a bunch of corporate double talk, I don't think we are dealing with a good company. They clearly state that they would not bring something to market unless it makes power. If they are to be trusted as a company, they need to stand behind there claims. That means either:
1. Admit there is a problem and fix it (for free) or
2. Admit there is a problem and refund everyone's money or
3. Explain in specific technical terms why others can't replicate their dyno results.

If they indeed have put so much R&D into this, then they must have a pretty good understanding of why it would or would not work on different cars.

Hopefully we will hear from David this week. It would be cool if they could just design the wedge and send out a new tube to everyone that has already got one. I don't want to have to send it back but poor results are not worth the 300 bucks. Kind of regretting jumping on the first one that came to market. Thanks for posting your results scrming you rock.

I was going to treat you to a couple or three adult beverages at the fest but I see you can't make it, perhaps another time.

Looks like I'll be installing my Injen this week (yes I'm nuts) and off to Atco raceway next sunday.

I agree with DVegas! Do a new wedge, or if too much trouble refund as desired by customers and Airaid pledge for customer satifaction.
