I ordered mine from a paint place on line, gave them the code for my paint. I needed it for my engine cover and inside the trunk to paint my tail light covers. So I used this paint to put a small dab on the holes. You could use any color of almost any paint (rustoleum). You are just covering the bare metal.

I agree. Does anyone have experience putting an OEM spoiler on themselves that can comment on whether this is an issue??

No, I haven't done it (mine came with one), but it shouldn't be too difficult.
This procedure might be necessary if you want to install an aftermarket style spoiler onto your non-spoiler car if it has studs or if you get a great deal on a factory spoiler, otherwise this factory style spoiler seems like a good option since all here have had good things to say about it.

1) Make a template out of thick construction paper or thin cardboard (the type used for cereal boxes, etc) by installing the paper/cardboard onto the underside of the factory spoiler and its studs. Securely tape sections together to make it long enough if you have to.

2) You probably won't be able to match up the holes perfectly on the template to poke them through the studs, but that's okay. Once it's fully on and properly matched up with the contours of the mating surface (the underside of the spoiler), clean up the excess paper/cardboard from the holes, then put tape on the template directly around the studs, just a 'tape square' surrounding each stud will work (4 straight pieces of tape, one for each side, each piece just touching the stud).

3) Trace around the edges of the spoiler side (top) of the template with a pen/pencil/sharpie so that they match up with the footprint of the spoiler, Then carefully remove the template, making sure not to damage the stud/hole locations.

4) Finish the footprint of the template by cutting it around the traced lines. Now you have a perfect template to line up onto the top of your trunk, as if it were the spoiler. Once it's properly placed, tape the template onto the trunk, or just precisely mark the hole locations and remove. Carefully drill out the holes with a drill bit just larger than the studs, this should get you close enough to dropping the spoiler right in. If not, lightly use a file to open up the holes just a bit where they're contacting.

5) Paint/seal the bare metal, then install the spoiler.

6) Clean and button everything up, then proceed to drool all over your fresh new spoiler (especially if it's the SLP high-rise lip spoiler. )

The holes lined up perfect. The key is to setup the template and measure, measure, measure. Mine looks great now but it is a little scary drilling into my new baby.

Installing my spoiler today. Anybody have tipe for removing those pain in the ass trunk liner clips if you don't have the little mini-crowbar tool?

I loosened mine with a flat head screw driver and then pulled them out with long nose pliers. Just got them loose enough to slip the pliers underneath them.
