Oil diffuser coupler not very secure ??

Anyone?

"But this oil diffuser / coupler thing that's just sort of pushed into the tube on the Injen intake. It doesn't seem very secure. It could slide right out.

Am I missing something? Instructions just say to stick it in there but there's nothing to really hold it"

Well I said screw dealer oil change and installed mine yesterday. A few parts taking off gave me a little trouble thus taking me a little over an hour and a half. Love the sound of her now.

Markal, I don't see why that wouldn't work as you (we) obviously had to to get the tube down there and then connect everything up. It would more than likely be easier then removing the wheel and liner to get at the filter.

1naylor, unless you have an engine gnome, yanking on the oil diffuser, I wouldn't worry about it. You could check it ever so often, just to make sure it's still in there.

mine came with a ziptie. what is it for? i turned the wheel to the right for the 3 screw on the fender and then to the left for perfect access to the washer bottle. hardest part was removing tape from the wire bundle. only had room for one arm. my only gripe is that the cap wont close on the new fluid bottle. the opening is warped or something. doesnt stay closed. ive been taping shut.

Sorry, I am new to the CAI game. So this part actually affects how you change your oil? In other words, if I were to take it to a dealer to have the oil changed, might they refuse, because they would have to remove the CAI?

No, it doesn't effect how you change your oil... the oil diffusers is on the PCV hose that runs into the Injen. nothing to do with changing your oil...

As always Scrming, you have been very helpful. Thanks!
Looking forward to adding this to my car even more, along with my MRT v2s which go on tomorrow.

My Injen and MRT 2.0 combo have changed sounds since the cooler temps arrived...hard to explain, but it's almost softer on the exhaust loudness, a little flat in tone on easy TO...anyone else get that?

Nope, I was thinking the opposite. Cooler weather makes more HP so I am hitting it harder in the morning to listen to the sweet sound of exhaust. Then again maybe it is just me.

Can anyone confirm if this work on the 2011 model, I assume it should but don't feel like pulling the trigger if it doesn't. Thanks

It should work, the entire engine package all the way back to the rear tires is the same from 2010 to 2011.
