Depends on the state.

In my state you can be charged with reckless driving for doing a burnout and most certainly taken to jail.

Look guys. The cruise was escorted by the Sheriff they had 6 cars to control the environment. Much in the same way an officer can escort you to your house in an emergency, or the hospital if the wife is having a baby. So in that controlled environment, those cruising were "allowed" to break the law. But while traffic in all directions is stopped, and while 300 cars are still streaming in to the host hotel, to take off in the opposite direction doing burnouts may not have been the best idea.

That is precisely why we asked the Lowndes County Sheriff's to be a part of it. Can you imagine if we tried to do that on our own.... OMG the fines would have probably funded the county for a year...



And we don't tolerate bashing of law enforcement officers.
