That's what I'm wondering. I don't see how it's possible....but the only LT headers I see on the American Racing site are for the SS.

Update: Ah ha. Makes sense now. I called American racing and they said they have a long tube system it's just not on the website. They said it's basically identical to the SS kit just with 2 less obviously.

Yep they used the same construction methodology, reduced from 8-6. The sound is obviously different from the V8.

Remember that this LT setup has a lot of high-end power, awesome for the dragstrip and the interstates. It's extremely useful for around town, if you can manage the torque, using the paddle shifter or your stick. Which is very easy to learn.

Can you explain what you mean when you say it is extremely useful around town?

You know that guy in front of you, that will go at the speed limit only? Well you can pass that guy before he even sees you in the mirror

The big draw of the BBK setup is the fact that their design allows for more low end torque, which is great for race tracks and daily driving, but it loses out on the top RPM ranges.

The ARH have ridiculous power on the higher RPMs, lot of people don't like revving the motor up so much, but I think thats were the fun is

Theres Pros to both setups performance wise, you can't go wrong with either. The ARHs aren't mass produced like the BBKs, so thats why they are a little more, but in the end the cost difference won't be much between the BBK and ARH.

The BBK price I was quoted for forum members is $809. The ARH go for $1295 so there is definitely a price difference but the thing I like about the ARH setup is that it is designed to simply bolt up to my aftermarket catback which means no welding or cutting so if I ever want to switch back to stock form it's just a simple swap.

Yea I believe you need to buy the x-pipe and midpipe seperately from BBK to take full advantage of the LTs, I may be wrong. So thats why I figured the price wouldn't be much different in the end.

Ah that's good to know. I am probably going to end up going with American Racing. Takes a little longer to get the parts though since they actually have to make the parts when I order it.

Really? They must have had all the parts on the shelf when you ordered. I talked to Nick from American Racing today and he said it would be about 5-7 days to make the parts and an additional 5 for them to get to me here in Arizona.

Wow thanks for the reference. Phastek looks like they have the V6 kits on sale for about $150 off and with free shipping.
