I hope your car is ok. Rumor has it the extra click release little particles of a mysterious material that could add or take away horsepower depending on the car?
Is this true?

Anytime I do that I just take it out and run the sh*t out of it a couple of times. Redline it 1st/rubber/2nd/rubber/3rd/120mph/4th/brake time and look for COPS.

That always takes care of it.

You think that's bad. I lost my gas cap and got a replacement from GM. After I installed it I went for a rip and the car felt like it lost about 114hp. So I took it back to the dealer and they checked it out. Here they gave me a gas cap for a V-6 and it caused me to loose excactly 114HP. go figure

Dude...I'm amazed the OP was able to drive away...I heard if you do more than one click, On*Star will disable the vehicle until you can get it towed into the dealership and get it reset.

Did you have a rabbit's foot in your pocket? Or maybe a lucky leprechaun in the trunk, keeping Shunt company?

You need to take that to your dealer immediately! You might need to replace the engine with a 454 after doing that!
