The place that insalled my intake could not get the cel to stay off so I contacted K&N and they said to send it back and they would send me the K&N 69-4520TP Typhoon, It will be here Monday.

Nice! Mine is still coming on and going off repeatedly. Did you contact K&N through camaro5? Or directly? I should do the same thing. But I might just go with a different brand altogether considering I'm pretty let down by K&N.

I contacted Robert Knudsen Product Specialist K&N Engineering (800) 858-3333, He told me they are working on the problem just take it back where I bought it and have them order the other one that they don't have any problems with and if I had any problems let him know it was a little bit more but there swapping it even trade good luck.

i believe one of the K&N intakes throws a CEL more often than not... i just cant remember if its the typhoon series or the air charger series, maybe ppl with the issues can let us know which K&N they have so future buyers can avoid that intake

I had the air charger 63-3075 and I got the cel and talked to K&N and it's the one that throws the cel, they told me to order the 69-4520tp it's the typhoon and I'd have no problems.

Yeah, looks good! So....I called Robert Knudsen at the number you gave me...thanks again. I left a voicemail on Monday and nobody has returned my call yet. I'm going to call back on Monday and see who I can get a hold of.

I have just installed this exact kit last tuesday. this morning my check engine light comes on. all clamps, MAF screws are tight. Not sure why it came on though. It sure wasn't on before the install, but it does run fine.
Thanks, Greg Quote:

Contact the people at K&N. Some people with the Aircharger are having issues and I think they're finding the CEL is an air/fuel mixture issue(the K&N is giving more air than the maf can adjust for?)
K&N is swapping them for the Typhoon or refunding but you'll need to get the codes read which you can get them pulled at any Autozone, Oreilly's, Advanced Auto.

Thank you. I'm waiting on a reply from K&N. I will stop off at autozone on the way home today to see what code it's throwing off. Thanks again, Greg.

this happend to me, go to autozone, buy a can of MAF sensor cleaner spray, spray yyour MAF down (dont forget to unplug battery), i think its abt 18 quick sprays (something like that, its written on the can) let it dry, and keep anything from getting on the sensor, once its dry reinstall and drive abt 25 miles to reset the computerm, the light should not come on anymore, hope this helps, worked for me.
