I would suggest anyone wanting to cancel (espcially before your trial is up) to call 800-547-8118.

I've called them twice now and got a US person both times. They were very helpful and nice to deal with.

I intially called a couple days back to tell them not to renew me after my trial but I'm still getting 1 or 2 phone calls a day. I'm not answering the phone because I can see it's their 877 number and from all the horror stories I don't want to get into it with one of them.

I just got a call a few min ago and as soon as the phone stopped ringing I call the number and asked them to verify my account....they said I should stop service on the 16th. I told them I'm still getting phone calls so she asked me if I wanted to be taken off the "Do Not Call List" ...... I said NO....PLEASE ADD me to the "Do Not Call List". She said she took me off the Call List but would leave me on the mailing list. I said ok (for now) to give them a compromise. I can put their letters in the recycling easily.

Point being.....call them before they call you.

Tell them if they call again you will take that as their acceptance of a small processing fee for your time. Then bill them.

Never ever give XM your credit card information. When my 3 month trial was up I renewed for a year at $77. I also had them waive that stupid musicians royalty fee or whatever it was. I told them to send me a bill and I mailed them a check. If you give them your credit card info they will automatically renew you unless you remember to call and cancel. After this year subscription is up I plan to drop it. Not worth it for me, even at the reduced $77 a year rate.

Any resolution from the OP yet?

I have never had an issue with XM and actually really like the service. Not too many good rock stations in West Palm Beach...

Sounds like you paid for the "insider information on the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro Z28, hosted by Fbodfather" channel.

They did something crazy with the dealership here I work at too.

I think they tried to tell the owner that he had to pay or they were going to report it to the credit reporting bureaus or maybe send him to collections. He went NUTS!

We only have XM Satellite in the showroom here to 'promote' it! We have a special floor unit. LOL

I'll have to ask for the whole story again from the owner. It's really quite funny.

Yeah, but it'll come with a lifetime of erroneous credit card charges...

6 months later with someone who can't speak englich and I got my double lifetime cancelled Would not let me cancel the lifetime on the Camaro, just my other plans. What a bunch of idiots. Maybe a call center in the US or CN and it may get better!

She asked if I wanted to extend the free trial period for a meager processing fee to which I said no thanks.

In fact, has anyone called them and said just cancell everything right now, free trial or not, just get rid of it?
Mine just shut off. They did call me and offered 5 months for $25. I told them that I dont drive the car during winter months. They asked me when did I start driving it and my service would start then, for the same price.
