i got a refund today as well....no email with a reason why though. i figure it's a licensing issue still and they didn't want us all to wonder where our stuff is having already paid. which is good. hopefully they get it all resolved and can sell it. i'll buy it when it's available for sure!

How is a forum different from any other site then? If forums are held responsible for making sure their members are licensed what about ebay, amazon and craigslist etc. Those sites are FULL of products being sold by people who do not have licensing rights. Plus the sights are selling the products directly not just talking about the products. I am no lawyer either but it makes no sense.

Quite frankly, I don't care one single bit about any other site other than this one. If "another" Camaro website wants to open their doors to companies selling unauthorized items which bear a GM trademark, so be it. Let them. And when GM/EMI drops the hammer on them, there goes that site. *POOF!* They are going to get sued and they are going to have a major headache. Trust me. We got our crap in order FAST when we realized the severity of the situation.:slice:

Right now, all I care about is this site and THESE members...so they have a place to go to tomorrow and be able to discuss their new 5th Gen Camaros. That's all. If that means upsetting a couple people for the betterment of the group. so be it. I'll take the heat.

We are not ebay. We are not amazon. We are an enthusiast site. But, we reach MANY, MANY people. And if someone came up with the right idea, they could USE these people to make a fortune. Well, someone DID come up with a right idea. Why GM won't allow them to make the emblems is beyond me. It's money in the pocket of GM and that sure as hell is what GM needs right now. But, WE can't do anything. It's THEIR call.

What I CAN say is this...

THIS is why we all saw a ton of threads disappear over the last few months. THIS is why you saw 5GC's threads removed. The reason they were banned is because even after they were denied licensing to make the emblems, they failed to comply with Camaro5's request that we do NOT promote, market, etc etc (read the above) the items they were trying to sell and they made new threads to market these items. We said no. They didn't listen. They were removed. Sad situation, but we have to look out for the site...not a single vendor.
