I called XM and they said they would not give me my GM discount.
I will have to get a hold of some higher up in GM and file a complaint.

I think GM should switch to Sirius up here in Canada.

I wonder if Sirius can give me service on a XM receiver??
With $9.99 a month pricing, you shouldn't have told them you were an "insider". Maybe pricing is different in Canada? I don't know anyone at XM Radio or GM and don't work for either.....I got $77 a year (and a lot of people have), which is $6.41 a month. Again, maybe pricing is different in Canada??

WRONG

It affects the age of your credit. Can be negative.

Call your credit card and report it stolen and you think someone made charges with it to XM. they will cancel that card number and issue you a new one. Keeping the credit open, But XM wont have the new number.

Ironically posted by a Mustang enthusiast grammar cop on a Camaro forum .

Accent's are fine as long as they can enunciate with context that is perspicuous for the intended audience.

However I am now on the XM pain train as well due to our purchase of a Camaro in March, and an Equinox this month. The relentless sales calls and terse statements by the staff are just nasty.

I think GM Customer Service should step-in on this XM situation.

I've had xm and sirius off and on since 02. Like the service (sirius seemed better than xm) but have had trouble almost every year at renewal time. With all that is being said here beginning to think it's time to speak with my money and not renew. At some point you'd think it would sink in to xm and GM that this is bad business....

That tells me he/she knows what the company's policy really is. In my opinion its keep all customers on the hook, by first giving them a free taste and then bombarding them with either endless mailings and phone sales until they order a month or two so they can get your account info. When their "subscription" ends and they do nothing about it, meaning extending it or canceling it, that gives them free reign to do WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I am living proof.

I like to use the virtual card number feature on my Discover card for purchases like this. It authorizes for a once-off charge, and never reveals your true card number

Sooner or later they will send you a collection notice to scare the hell out
of you into paying for past due service. It costs them next to nothing to send out these letters, but they get big bucs because good people don't want their credit trashed.

I'm surprised you haven't called your credit card company yet and complain to them. When a credit card company gets involved it usually sends a strong message to the offender.

Fill out a complaint on GM, XM, and your dealer.

I'd also be standing in the dealers office and rampaging a bit on it.

So i gave OnStar my Credit card # when i picked up the vehicle. Is that how XM gets your CC#? If so i cancel that card and got a new one so i think ill be ok.....

I havnt had a problem with XM before and i really like there programming. When i got my receiver stolen they transferred the remaining months to my dads account because i wasnt going to buy a new receiver since i was getting the Camaro in 6 months, so theve done good by me so far.
