Argghh... Wish I had a dyno shop remotely close. All I have is exhaust on my car so far. I'd dyno it, then I'd do it again after I get a CAI installed for you guy's enjoyment!

Oh wells.

I'm so disappointed:(

my car dyno'd on a mustang dyno at 250.8hp/230.7tq

that's with bbk long tubes/high flow cats and injen cai. Maybe the stock exhaust is still restrictive...

I'll make a new thread with a pic of the dyno sheet along with video of my car, etc later when I get the chance. Hopefully by Sunday.

Don't mustang dyno's typically give lower #'s than the other?

Yes, but not sure how low. Don't think it's that much lower. I was hoping to be in the 270-280 range. So I'm nowhere near that, even with a dynojet. I don't think.

Well, don't hang your head low. Maybe some other factors came into play....heat? Humidity? Gas?

Add all that up, plus the lower numbers of a mustang dyno, and that could be an easy 15 to 20 HP off your real peak.

Dyno it again this fall or somethin lol.

Was about 90 degrees. In vegas, probably close to no humidity, and on 91 premium gas. I'll try again after my exhaust and a tune

I saw the injen, the K and N intakes but i also saw a hennessy performance on as well....can anyone tell me something about it? I'm leaning toward injen, but I saw the hennessy and wanted to know info before i went with injen.....I have a flowmaster catback, super 40 setup already

I know the Injen requires replacing the washer fluid box, my K&N setup took about 40 minutes and was very straight forward....

PMan, I learned a lesson the hard way on Dynos. I got 257 on a Dynojet with LTs. It doesnt mean squat. There is so much room for error from dyno to dyno its stupid. Just poke around here and find dyno graphs of other cars with similar or same bolt ons. You will see numbers vary alot from 1 to the next. These motors are certified at 312 hp which means in part that there is very little variation in output from 1 car to the next. Manufacturing has gotten so precise that they can maintain pretty consistent hp from one motor to the next. Is all a dyno is good for is comparison testing for performance upgrades as long as the pulls are done with limited variables. On a highside dyno I know your car will pull at least 280 hp if there is nothing actually wrong with your car. Here is another thing to consider; go look at auto v6 fast times and do a DA comparison and see how little variation there is in the times even with different bolt ons from one to another. M6 dont count cuz there is a huge learning curve on them, especially with these street tires (pretty friggin hard to keep them hooked; thats why guys are leavin traction control on for better times on the autos) Oh and if ya wanta really improve ur drag time in a whole lotta hurry, grab some drag radials cuz it dont matter how much more power you add if ya cant put it to the ground.

Pman, by the way, what gear did you run your dyno in? If you ran it in fourth, your speed limiter shut your car down before max rpm. Oh, wait, no u been there done that!
