Why? An oil spill....hasn't this happened somewhere before? Come on dude, you got this car, a nice, expensive car, and just because some oil spills you don't like it anymore? Is the world ending in 2012 too? If it is, why not drive it while you have it?

Drive that car warm us up!!!!!!!

Batteries pollute less than oil.

Oil drilling on land not in the ocean? Agreed.

I don't have AC at home.

Sunspots are darker, cooler parts of the sun, resulting in less light hitting the earth, cooling it down, not warming it up. Magnetic energy from sunspots affect computers, satelites and electrical grids. They probably don't affect climate.

oil was used in the plastic on your keyboard,in the electricity to power your computer, and the prius you could have bought also runs on it. We should make mining this resourse safer, and hold these companys more responsible but this is what make our lives what it is.

Man some of these global warming nuts really have you brainwashed. The whole man made thing is pretty much distorted propaganda with no evidence to back it up. In fact the earth hasn't warmed for over a decade and recently all the prominent climate scientists were caught manipulating data. Look up climategate. It's really all about controlling peoples behavior. Al gore uses multiple jets and makes a lot of money off this stuff and they plan to make more with carbon trading. It's all a huge sca

carbon footprint of your home and compare it to that of a car...I think you will be suprized.

No matter what you do... your camaro wont make a difference..
If you sell it, then someone else will still be "polluting" the air or whatever in that car. And the car you buy that produces less waste, will still produce waste and it adds to the problem. Getting rid of one car to get another one will not help at all.

Thats just my outlook on the whole idea of cars being bad for the earth. Personally i could care less about what waste my cars produce. But i understand why people do and respect their opinions.

2010 is a "prediction" from a bunch of whakos whos misread the Myan calender and other stuff. I'm talking about real science and what is happening right now.

And yes oil spills have happened lots of times in the past, but their damage is still there. According to a study out Feb. 15 in the journal Environmental Science and Technology, scientists from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. Geological Survey and Alaskan agencies found that oil levels in the sands around the sound are much the same as they were when tests were done five years ago. The study says oil has seeped down 4 to 10 inches.
